  1. 15:55 Melk Abbey – the building you saw in the back is the Baroque Garden Pavillon of Melk Abbey. When built it was intended using it as a place for the monks' recreation after their strict fasting periods.
Inside you find magnificant frescos on ceilings, walls, windows and even doors. During summer months the main room of the Baroque Garden Pavillon is used as a venue for concerts.

  2. 25:07 Sorry, title Munich is not correct – should be Trausnitz. This castle is called Burg Trausnitz. The town of Trausnitz is a municipality in the district of Schwandorf in Northern Bavaria (Oberpfalz) and distance to Munich is 189 km (118 miles). Depending on traffic and route it's a 2-2,5 hrs drive from Trausnitz to Munich. I know the area around Munich and Passau/Vilshofen/Trausnitz very well. We lived there our whole life before moving to South Pacific.
29:12 Sorry, title of outro is also not quite correct – should be Neuschwanstein.
This castle is called Schloss Neuschwanstein in Schwangau. Schwangau is a municipality in South East Bavaria (Allgäu). Distance from Munich to Schloss Neuschwanstein is 120 km (75 miles) and it's a 1,5-2 hrs drive depending on traffic and route.
Hope, information is useful for newbies to my beloved Bavaria. ❤
Greetings from a Munich born girl (kidding, I'm an old girl, but still young-minded 😂) – now living on Moorea (sister island of Tahiti) in French-Polynesia 🌴 🏖 😎 🇵🇫 🇫🇷 🇪🇺

  3. Beautiful video! So many places to visit.. you did an awesome job with this series… Alisa, were all these tours you did included with the cruise?

  4. Thank you for the beautiful recap of a Danube River cruise!! We did this itinerary in July of 2022 with a few extra days in Budapest and Prague and loved it!! In a month we do the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel with some extensions in Amsterdam as well as Switzerland and Italy!! We are READY!!!

  5. Just a little correction: we hungarians had mandatory military service , but we served in the hungarian army, not in the russian and had to learn Russian in the school (beside english, german)

  6. Love the video! Very informative one question, in Munich just wondering if you think it is worth doing the Castle tour that you did?We had a day and a half to experience Munich and don’t know if we would have enough time to do it. Thanks again for the great video!

  7. Big question.
Doing this criuse next month only thing we cant find info on is Hungarian currency.
Austria and Germany are obviously Euros but Hungary uses the Forint.
Do you take Forints with you or do you use euros?, which they except but apparently you do get charged at a poor exchange rate for items purchased with Euro's

  8. I'm going on a Danube river boat cruise this August that is the same route, but we end up in Budapest. You have really prepared me for what to expect. The Danube was never on my must go travel list, but I have found that those are usually the best trips😊 Thank you so much for your lovely video❤

  9. You had great footage of indoors and outdoors. Wondering what camera you used when permitted. Most of us have digital phones with cameras but the digital camera/video footage can also be downloaded and used in YouTube video.

  10. Me and my mum are doing an AMA trip from. Amsterdam to Budapest next week. Coming from Australia for the first time overseas, it's very exciting!
