A charming village with winding alleys, and panoramic views! Visit the Castelli of Pyrgos and take the opportunity to visit local tavernas – there’s even one called Penelope’s 😁
✨ Megalochori
Step back in time with cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and historic mansions – this traditional village was my favourite hidden gem in Santorini! 🤩
✨ North Slope Vantage Point
Near Moni Profiti Ilia, this spot offers spectacular island views. You can also visit the 18th-century monastery, and it’s a great place to enjoy a stunning, crowd-free sunset.
✨ Heart of Santorini
A heart-shaped cliff near Megalochori with impressive caldera views! Don’t miss the beautiful church either. (PS: this is not one for those with mobility difficulties!)
✨ Metropolitan Church of Ypapanti
In Fira, this majestic Orthodox cathedral offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. However, don’t miss going inside as the frescoes are the best part!
Our tour with Stratos was sadly much too short as we only had one day in Santorini 😢 but if we’d had the opportunity for a longer tour, we absolutely would have! He suggested so many other amazing spots I’d love to have visited – but we’ll just have to save those for next time! 🤩
