The first time we went we stayed in a boutique hotel a couple of blocks from the champs elysees. We liked it so much we stayed there the second time bc it felt like home. Metro down the street and we were able to move about the city like locals.
You need to include pricing. Oceans Saitn Germain is $500 CDN/ night!!! For example
Bonjour I’m learning my husband and I are coming beginning of sept. What’s the weather like? I watched your month to month but, I think you skipped September. Also we are staying in the 6th quarter at 16 due de l’ancienne comedie is that a safe place to stay? I love watching you guys you’re amazing and very helpful and fun to watch happy new year. Maybe I’ll see you in Paris Au revior
I am a very frequent traveler to Paris from the U.S. I prefer scenery and convenience over hotel luxury. For me, a hotel is merely a place to bathe and sleep. I look to my local surroundings for the essence of my stay. Thanks for your informative videos!
I stayed at My Maison In Paris- Invalides in the 7th, and Hôtel des Deux-Iles in the 4th, on posh Île-Saint-Louis…both beautiful, quiet and very central…
Chef’s Kiss to Hôtel des Deux-Iles…like a restful, private village inn…in the center of everything..in the middle of the river Seine…!!
Currently staying in the 14th and it was lovely to see nearby sights in your video, along with those we have seen in our travels around the other arondissments! On 31 December, we ate fresh oysters, macarons & charcuterie in the L'enfantes Rouge area, then stood on the bridge at Pont Alexandre III and watched fireworks at Champs Élysées while the Eiffel Tower sparkled! Bonne Année! Soon, we take a cruise on the River Seine. It would be a delight to run into you two somewhere. ❤🤩
Great tips from your viewers.
We’re going back in May (went last May) and will again stay at Melia Champs Élysées in the 16th. Great small boutique hotel in a safe neighborhood.
Great video. Hey. I was banned from your FB group for adding a blog post of mine. However, not one to hold a grudge, I am working on more blog posts in connection with our recent trip to Paris and wanted to mention you guys as a recommendation of videos to watch. Is it okay if I mention you? Thanks and best of luck for 2025. Catherine Lartigue.
We are planning a trip to Paris in May. We will take the train to Chantilly and wanted to rent a car and go up your Lille for a few days. Is there car rental in Chantilly?
Any thoughts on the Hotel Marsais Bastille? Thanks
You never mentioned how much a decent hotel cost. I would hate to go home after one night lol
Apatthotels. They are new, roomy with a full kitchen and utensils including. I hsve been using them during my trips, in Bordeaux snd paris, the 17 th and Montmartre. They ae not cheap but reasonable price with 24 hours front desk
03:13 😣💨
We stayed in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, also known as the Goutte d'Or. It's a vibrant neighborhood with a diverse population, and it's known for its lively atmosphere and its many restaurants, cafes, and so much to do in that area
I love the bateaux moored on the Seine near the Eiffel!
You made a very good job with your videos. This is also a very interesting one. Can you maybe make a video about budget hotels? It is very hard to find cheaper hotels in Paris. Some reviews about them tell the areas are unsafe. It would be very nice to see what are your advices.
💖🎄👍🕊💐💖🎄👍😍💙🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🌹
I prefer to stay in Airbnb outside of Paris ex. Soeux & Vincenne. In the past I've stayed in the center of Paris. The locals are friendly, and take the time to chat and get to know you. Both have great park and market.
Planning a fam London/Paris trip in 2025. Your eps are soooo helpful!!!
So helpful
Please don't share the restaurants & lodging so fast as I couldn't write them down.
I wish this video was put out a couple months ago. I did not like my hotel. In fact, I didn't care much for Paris. It was gloomy, wet and somewhat dirty. Maybe I should have traveled in the warm summer months.
Pavillon de la Reine- you forgot to mention it's almost 500 bucks a night, dear, if i can afford that, i wouldn't need an "advise" video! Thank you anyway!
This is by far one of my favorite videos you’ve done! I’d like to think maybe you read my suggestion about including a map for further orientation… Because wouldn’t that be fun! ❤ But either way this was truly very helpful 🙂 love your videos and I think not only have you watched every one but many of them multiple times… Thank you again!
We are coming in March and staying in the 2nd at an air b&b. I spent so long deciding on a location and I’m so happy with the one we ended up with.
Seriously, I don’t like the “X” in this video introduction pic, my girls and I are staying at an apartment hotel right across from the Eiffel Tower and it’s a boon for our trip. Easy to get to other places, some great potential experiences nearby…save the shade!!!
This video is excellent. Best one I’ve watch so far about the feel/pros/cons of all the arrondissements. This can help you decide where you want to stay, do, and eat.
It would be extremely useful if you provide prices as well.
We just returned from a long Xmas journey in France staying about 8 days in Paris. As I was driving and had a car to park, we chose the Les Jardins de Eiffel Hotel on Rue Alemie, just off Rue St. Dominique and I would highly recommend this location for your first time in Paris. On this little 1 block long street, across from the hotel, is a Patisserie, a Bistro and a small but fabulous 16 seat Italian Restaurant. Prefer French, there is a great high end French establishment next door………….and we haven't even went 50 steps for the Hotel Lobby. We could do a 15 minute to the Eiffel Tower and the Port for boat connections. A 30 minute walk put you at the Arc de Triomphe and the start of the Champs De Elysees. We could either walk or Uber everywhere depending on how our bodies felt that day. Rue St. Dominique has everything you could want in this area from cafe's galore, Patisseries, shops, markets, butchers and at at least 3 grocery stores, Monoprix and Franprix, for all your basic needs for your stay. Everyone says staying near the Eiffel Tower is 'touristy' but in this neighborhood we felt safe, right at home and met a lot of locals living in the area that were friendly. Don't listen to all the bad advice about language difficulties as almost everyone in the hospitality trades worldwide will know English to communicate, just like the worldwide standard for airlines and air traffic control in English. Open your greeting with Bonjour and go from there. Most of the French locals we spoke to wanted to speak in English to brush up on their skills also. As Les Frenchies say, use at least Bonjour and Merci in all conversations as it's the polite thing to do. Enjoy your trip to Paris as it's a once in a lifetime experience for most of us.
The 16e is close to everything au contraire, you can walk down Passy boulevard to the Seine and the Eiffel tower
Hi guys, great video on Hotel and area reviews. Do any of the hotels you showed cater to Non-French speaking guests. I'm your typical American tourist unfortunately not exposed to learning a 2nd language growing up and I'm coming over in the summer for my 60th b'day. I'm hoping to find a place that will be friendly and accommodating to English speaking guests. My French on a scale from 1-10 is (negative) Zero. I may learn a few words before I come over but at 60 I'm not going to learn a new language I'm afraid.

Hi, love your videos! I was just wondering why you skipped the 12th arrondissement? Coming to Paris this month, maybe we'll see you there 🙂
Too bad, prices were not mentioned 😢
My first trip to Paris in 1979, I stayed at a small hotel right on the Place de la Sorbonne in the 5th. No a/c and it was 90+ every day. No elevator. Hotel catered mainly to Italians and had a communal breakfast table, but I had learned Italian in college so I was fine. $13 a night.
On my 6th trip last year, we stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom Air BnB in the 7th. Great location. A/C and elevator. But, I still think fondly about that first trip. We walked down to the Sorbonne so I could show it to my travel partner. Sadly, it had been torn down and replaced by a modern 4-star hotel. I’ve stayed at much nicer places every subsequent trip there, but I still fondly remember that first hotel.
We are staying at the Best Western Empire Élysées, does anyone have experience here? The address is 3 Rue De Montenotte, 17th arr. looking for places to eat and buy a few souvenirs. We are American and have never been to Europe. I’m trying to learn some French.
Did you say Les Marmottes for raclette? I think that was it. I would love to visit.
Is the area in 44 Rue d'Aboukir good to stay in?
I have been to Paris 8 times for a total of almost 6mos. The only neighborhood I have ever stayed in or ever will stay in, is the 6th. I am curious as to why you left it out?
I second and say 15th arrondissement is a good area too to stay… really enjoyed the Ibis there.
