1 Week onboard MSC Preziosa Cruising Northern Europe

Welcome to my new feature length vlog series, 1 Week onboard MSC Preziosa Cruising Northern Europe (Hamburg, Rotterdam, Bruges, Le Havre / Honfleur)! In this episode I’ll show you the check in and boarding process with MSC from Horizon Cruise Terminal in Southampton UK, first impressions of our standard inside cabin and the ship generally, how muster / emergency drills work on MSC, all meals and food reviewed, including the buffet, the main dining room, and speciality dining at Butcher’s Cut, all the bars / venues onboard, drinks menus and prices, drinks packages, an afternoon at the Aurea Thermal Suite, what to do on a sea day and our visit to Hamburg. We avoided all MSC excursions throughout the cruise and did our own thing so I’ll show you all our experiences ashore and how to save money. Let’s do this!

  1. So the thermal area is not the greatest, not equal to or better than the Virtuosa, reminds me of the Splendida. All are mighty fine ships giving a great holiday cruise experience. Reading the comments, that price is excellent, I would love to cruise the Adriatic sea to Croatia, wish one of the newer ships would be there.

  2. Gotta say, you looked as exhausted after eating at Butcher's Cut as I was! I just knew you guys would enjoy the experience. They don't kid around with those portions 😄.

  3. Probably the best review I've seen on Msc. Hopefully the good service and food will continue in part 2!? Looks a bit more civilised than Virtuosa?

  4. 😂 “plop and snack”, and “Fishphanne” made me howl. Thank you for your hard work, time and efforts to make these videos Jamie. Your videos are brilliant 🙂

  5. I did that same itinerary back in March on board Euribia. Hoping to go again next year in December to see all the Xmas markets. In Hamburg, we actually walked to the city centre.. it took us around 30-40 min ( very good cardio) and the best thing about the walk is that you get to go underground to cross the river Elbe. The old Elbe tunnel is absolutely spectacular and I absolutely loved the old fashioned lifts .. best thing it’s all free for pedestrians. I’d highly recommend ❤ 🇩🇪 ❤

  6. A week cruising Northern Europe are filled with breathtaking views and unforgettable memories 🌊✨ Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us! ♥

  7. Great video, we do this cruise in a few weeks. Question – you mentioned having your Covid passports ready!? I’ve not seen any information on this in my booking – what is a Covid passport!? Just proof of vaccinations? Thanks again 😁

  8. Thanks for the video! Thinking of taking the same cruise in december. Is the MSC app full of information, can you book things on it etc? When do the bars open?
    Thanks again!

  9. Thanks for these videos, we're doing the same cruise at the end of January. Do you know what is the best way to get to the maritime museum? X
