2025 Travel Trends and Challenges with Cameron Hewitt and Robyn Stencil

Heading to Europe in 2025? Two of Rick Steves’ Europe’s top travelers share their fresh-from-the-rucksack stories and tips about what every traveler should know. Together, Cameron and Robyn cut through new red tape (such as “visa waiver” programs in the UK and EU), tap into new technologies, and uncover “new” destinations offering alternatives to the crowd-clogged biggies. Plus, they explore the importance of planning around “overtourism” (and new anti-crowd measures, such as tourist limits and “access fees”), preparing for soaring temperatures and other extreme weather, and much more. #mondaynighttravel #ricksteves #traveltrends

  1. Limiting cruise arrivals is not a bad idea. I've never been on this type of cruise and it's not the way I like to travel. I can't imagine what the locals go through.

  2. I take ferries and stay 3-4 days. Get up early and walk around and go to bed early in Greece. Buses to get to Dubrovnik, Venice and Bosnia and stay overnight multiple nights. Going to less tourists places The Baltics, Russia (when you could go there) The Balkans, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia with small group tours or by ourselves.

  3. We also loved Lucca when we used RS Florence itinery! This past September we took our first RS Tour of Greece. The two small towns we visited were truly magical. I fell in love with Kardamyli! We're excited to join the RS tour of London this fall

  4. Re: the Colosseum: when visiting , keep the mindset that in Roman times, during an event , 50,000 plus people attended. Now, approximately 16,000 visit a day. So it's always been crowded.
