What’s it like to travel on Ryanair’s longest flight from Warsaw Modlin to Tenerife South? 2209 miles over 5 hours 55 minutes. Also – behind the scenes featuring the challenges of filming the above video. #ryanair

  1. The last time I was in Modlin, my overnight stay was cancelled last minute due to over booking… I decided to stay in Modlin airport…. there was a great coffee shop outside the terminal that was open all night…. yippee!

  2. Thanks for the new (for me) word, smirr. I already knew dreich, a useful word, and not just in Scotland. Modlin is handy for us in northeast Poland. It saves us crossing the capital to get to Chopin.

  3. Modlin, that's some airport. Once landed there in a blizzard and just stared in amazement at the return flight passengers queueing up in the snow on the tarmac to board.

Once I noticed that the security scanners were separated by plastic bread crates. My wife was in the early states of pregnancy and wanted to avoid the scanners, so they moved one of the bread crate and waved her through, bypassing the scanners.
A shame you didn't have time to get into central Warsaw as it's a great city (or even Warsaw actually thinking back of the actual location of Modlin!).

  4. Congratulations on 100K subs! Scott deserves his coffees to get to cruising altitude. To position yourself to fly Ryanair's longest flight is glutton for punishment. Always entertaining.

  5. Interesting , I've been from Prestwick to Tenerife south that's 4.30 . Didn't realise it would be so much longer from Warsaw. Need to contact Scotsman in Tenerife next time I'm their

  6. Edinburgh to Modlin used to operate direct all year, and it is frustrating that it no longer operates in Winter. It'll return in April.
Both are some of my favourite airports, though I am biased.

  7. As a frequent flyer you learn that the smaller the airport the better! When you land you're on your way in a couple of minutes and on departure you can arrive closer to departure time. As long as you understand the product you're buying I think that Ryanair is amazing. They run on time most of the time compared to Lufthansa or Klm and they almost never cancel a flight which happened to me a lot with other major airline in Europe.
