Slava Ukraini! Just a small anecdote from France wrt the rail gauge. Of course, having a different gauge will hamper fluid interconnexion, and that's the idea. Similarly, France introduced the SECAM TV 'standard' in the 1960s under governance of General De Gaulle. An efficient means to protect/block the french from viewing foreign contents, especially the horrible, devilish US contents!!! As for a 'standard', it has only ever been applied in France and in the Soviet Union (see the parrallel) as well as in some african colonies and disappeared, replaced by EU standards.
We should help Ukraine to rebuild their gauge to normal gauge ASAP.
Between Chop and Kyiv, no restaurant car or food outlet? I know restaurant cars rarely cross break-of-gauge but would have expected one to be added at Chop since it is still a long journey to Kyiv. Curious what services existed during Soviet era. Wonder if Budapest-Lliv is leftover from what I suspect used to be Budapest to Moscow route. Shame Chop was in middle of night. Curious to see if it is a well used facility as a "land port" to ship cargo in both directions or whether it is nearly abandonned with just one train per day.

Не хочу никого обидеть, но контраст конечно очень большой УЗ и Евро жд , вагоны и т.д. и это международный класс называется ,жуть до РЖД(жесть случается но очень редко ) как до Китая.
Have you considered a voiceover, your own or AI one if you don't like talking, if not in primary audio track than atleast as an option in secondary? Or does someone know how to turn those CC subs into voiceover? I just can't handle the CC subs, I can't explain it, if it's my eyes or what, but it's very uncomfortable for me to watch the video with those subs on and I do lose a lot of the info with them off.

Avec l'introduction de l'ICE 3, la DB voulait autrefois supprimer le wagon-restaurant parce qu'il était trop peu rentable, c'est pourquoi certains ICE3 et ICE-T n'ont que le bistro à bord, mais après une forte résistance des clients, le wagon-restaurant a été mis en place. retour sur les trains intégrés.

As a Ukrainian, I can say that I was surprised when I was in Germany that intercity trains are 15-20 minutes late and this does not surprise anyone there. At that time, in Ukraine, even during the war, a 5-minute delay is already a disaster)))

Ich bin vor ein paar Jahren von Zürich nach Odessa via Berlin gefahren. Da waren aber noch die allten Waggons von Berlin-Odessa im Umlauf. Wir waren auch in der Halle, für den Spurwechsel und ich musste dringend pinkeln – man hat mich tatsächlich aus dem Zug gelassen, was sonst unüblich ist. Übrigens ist auch Russland und Kasachstan ideal für Zugreisen.

Really? Is this even possible? You'd think being in a WAR ZONE that rail and air services are terminated. At least that's how inconvenient it was for Ukrainians to get OUT of Ukraine when they were being attacked by Russia. Hard to imagine even today the ease of getting there, but I guess….
Makes me sick to see the amount of comments supporting a regime that rounds up its own countrymen and forcing them to go on the front line. All those who say glory to Ukraine, you all have blood on your hands. Oh and before commenting. Take a step back and ask who is provoking this war, who is providing western bombs, who wants WW3? The loco at the Stuttgart-Budapest part was a Siemens Taurus of the first generation (ÖBB1016), rare catch there – most of them are 2nd gen (ÖBB1116) or 3rd gen (ÖBB1216 – mostly used international for Hungary or Italy)
Please visit south of Ukraine like Odessa, Dnipro, and east like Kharkiv.

Bin zu Friedenszeiten1979 von Berlin nach Kiev 36 Stunden und von Odessa 42 Stunden nach Berlin gefahren. Das war noch zu Zeiten der Sowjetunion, war eine tolle Reise mit Flußkreuzfahrt Schiff den Dnepr runter.
In the nineties i lived in Ukraine. Trains were always on time as the scheduled are very tolerant to delays. Often we waited 15 minutes or so before arriving otherwise we would arrive too early. Planning for adversity, we could learn from that in western Europe. You are almost always reporting delays on night trains….
I forget every time to turn on captions. 10 minutes in I remembered. Silly me.

3:51 Hä? Wird in dieser Durchsage im Hintergrund wirklich etwas von einem Regionalzug (RE 44 oder 45 war es glaube ich?) nach "Bratislava Hauptbahnhof" gesagt? Der ICE fährt in diesem Video doch nur bis Stuttgart und nicht Wien, und der Railjet hat ja sowieso eine weibliche Stimme.
