Hi. New subscriber here. What would you suggest as a 3 day train holiday in Croatia from Split to Plitvice Lakes to Pula? We will then ferry to Venice and continue train travel in Italy. Should we use one particular train company/country over another?
Hey,
great overview,
a few precisions though :
Thalys doesn't exist anymore, it's now called Eurostar
Paris – Milan has been shut down for almost a year and a half now following a landslide, though service should resume in April, only Trenitalia's FrecciaRossa call at Lyon, SNCF's TGV don't. Trenitalia's Milan Paris trains are NOT included in the pass.
No trains from Paris Gare de Lyon go to Germany, only from Paris Nord or Paris Est
No need to validate tickets in France since March 1st 2023
Interrail pass are for european residents, NOT citizens (and yes that includes the UK) and has nothing to do with the EU.
There is also a Senior Price for eurail passes, for people over 60. The price you select depends on your age at the moment of the pass activation, not when you buy it. You get up to 2 complimentary Child Pass (-12) per adult pass, they have to be bought at the same time.
The discounts you are entitled with you pass are all displayed here : https://benefitsportal.eurail.com/?
Seat reservations range from 0 to 45 € for day trains, and can go much higher for night trains.
Paul Lucas! Your channel’s great man!
You should name this video – How to travel West Europe by Train. There is no word about Eastern Europe which is better than west. There are cheaper and cleander trains, there is no immigrations and mess and the most important – those countires are safe! Paris, Milan or Rome is not safe now because of immigrants especially on train stations!

Minor corrections!
0:15: There are definitely regional trains that cross country borders, e.g. Øresundståg.
1:37: Thalys was merged into Eurostar a while back.
Very informative
