Why 13 Years Cycling World Ends On Korea DMZ Border? | Last Vlog

Embark on a journey that spans 13 years, 6 continents, and countless memories as I conclude my incredible world bicycle tour at Korea’s DMZ—a symbol of division, hope, and peace.

My adventure began in the USA on September 1, 2011, and took me across North America, Latin America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Central and Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Returning home to South Korea, I dreamed of finishing my tour by cycling through North Korea, a dream that remains unfulfilled. Instead, I decided to end my journey with the DMZ Peace Bicycle World Tour, a meaningful ride along the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a place where history, division, and the hope for unification collide.

This vlog captures the emotional highs and lows of the final leg of my journey:

Facing grueling slopes and military control zones
Navigating the unique blend of peace and tension at the DMZ
Connecting with fellow cyclists and incredible people like CEO Im Mi-ryeo of the DMZ Forest
Reflecting on the symbolism of finishing where the two Koreas meet, yet remain apart
Despite challenges along the way, this tour was a testament to resilience, hope, and the belief that even small steps can pave the way for change. I share my encounters, struggles, and reflections, including lessons from a Pakistani friend who reminded me that progress happens step by step.

As I close this chapter of my life, I am deeply thankful to everyone who supported me on this 13-year journey. My dream of cycling across a unified Korean Peninsula remains alive, and I hope this story inspires others to keep moving forward, no matter how difficult the road may seem.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. 🌏🚴‍♂️

  2. That was beautiful ending of your trip Jin! Greetings again from Oulu Finlad. You were here in January many years ago, maybe 6 or 7. It was -15C when you left to south. There was almost peace in Europe. Now there's war. 😢 God bless. Rolf

  3. This was a great trip Jin. It is very interesting but I felt bad for you when you were upset over the idea of peace. While you were telling us this I was thinking about John Lennon's song Imagine. Peace may only be a dream but it's a nice dream.
It has been a great journey following you.✌

  5. I have been watching your videos for a couple of years but never had a chance to leave any comments except only likes. I just want to say thank you for taking us your journey. You touch and change a lot of people's perceptions in life by your wonderful and inspiring story. Wish you all nothing but the best on your future plans.감사합니다!🎉❤

  6. I hope that one day there will be peace and you can cycle all of the Korean Peninsula. I've followed you for a number of years, and you are an inspiration. I mean, 13 years! Wow. Incredible, Jin. I would love to read a book with your memoires!

  8. All the best for your new chapter, Jin. Your tour, videos and message of peace and reunification will continue to inspire people all over the world for many years to come! 🙂

  9. Oh I cycled to Cheorwon and Korean Worker Party ruin… It was in 2021 and it was not in renovation. I went cycling to Baengmagoji Memorial too. This area is very airy and has a special feel

  10. What do you think about Denis Rodman visiting North Korea years ago? As a student of IR I felt like that was true diplomacy and maybe if more people did it maybe the chubby guy with the bad haircut would settle down.

  11. What a great adventure. Thank you so much for allowing us to tag along. I cannot wait to see what you are planning for your next chapter! Please stay safe and healthy!!

  12. So very happy-sad at watching the last video of your world tour after so many years. In my lifetime I've seen the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the USSR. Korean unity can happen. Don't give up on your dream.
