  1. I thought that maybe I should go to Takeshita Street for a full day, since I wanted to go to ACDC Rag, but maybe I should just go there for ACDC Rag and the Pompompurin Cafe :,) Although, Kiddy Land, a store with lots of Japanese toys and character goods is also in Harajuku, and if you like that stuff (like me), you should go there!

  2. Some friends and I have been planning a trip for early march-april for a while. Thinking of where we want to go and how long we want to explore the location for. This information is greatly appreciated 😆❤

  3. You missed the obligatory stop at Tsukiji Outer Market…..which is the tourist trap to end all tourist traps. Yes, we’ve done it, but have stopped going because it’s ridiculously overcrowded to the point where moving is difficult (similar to Nishiki in Kyoto).

  4. Harajuku was underwhelmng. there was an interesting motorcycle place/restaurant?? there but not much else there. i still havent seen Gojira there… its on my list oneday if i can return. taking things slow at your own pace is very good. plan for 2-4 places to visit everyday but have a few other places to visit if you happen to check off the main sites quicker than planned.

  5. 3rd trip in 2 weeks within 1 year. What’s funny is I haven’t done any of those things that were mentioned. 2nd trip I winged it and made 0 plans it was fun and met 3 locals and this coming trip I will be hanging out with them. Sometimes not following the tourist hype is the best option

  6. I always enjoy going to Ikebukuro more than Akiba tbh. The biggest Animate store is in Ikebukuro, there's fewer people and also my favorite Toranoana is there lol

  7. My man. Your Video was 24 days late. I was there between 1 and 8. I checked out Shibuya, Akihabara (Lived near in Ueno), but my favorite was Kamakura. Next to the Buddha statue, there was a lovely trail with many shrines and sights (At one point you could see Fuji as well) . Will going back in may but this time for 2 weeks and landing at Nagoya, leaving from Tokyo!

  8. I do love wondering beyond Harajuku St and wonder Cat St as its much more mellow and you get the sence of alternative culture there. There are also many intresting cafes and resturants ive visited there

  9. I appreciate your realness and perspective! I thought the same thing when we went to Harajuku! I think we stayed 30min max it was waaaaay too crowded

  10. I would suggest adding Odaiba, we had a great time there and teamlab Planets is amazing to experience.

Also, Roppongi is worth visiting. If you get to the observatory at night you get beautiful views of the city and Tokyo Tower. As an observatory or a view point I enjoyed it more than Sky Tree, maybe because it was at night time.

The arcades around Tokyo are great night activity to end the day

Great video ❤. Brings a lot of good memories.

  11. Yokohama is the hidden gym of Tokyo, lots to do, no crowds of people/ tourist everywhere, don’t have to wait in lines just to eat or get snacks or coffee, very chill, it was one of my favorite spots of my trip I highly recommend it. Plus it has the cup noodle museum and aquariums where you can interact with the animals

  12. If you're planning on going to Tokyo Tower, I definitely recommend going to the nearby Rainbow Bridge after Tokyo Tower and walking across it into Odaiba. You can see the iconic Fuji TV Station, and a little bit past there is the Zepp Diver City mall with a life-size Gundam statue out front!

  13. I would also recommend both Ikebukuro and Ginza. Ikebukuro is more so if you like anime and want to experience something similar to Akihabara without having girls promoting maid cafes in every corner of the streets. It’s also oriented more towards girls so it is great for both genders. Ginza is a shopping district similar to Harajuku but probably more oriented towards luxury shopping although it has plenty of mid-range shops. It also has the largest Uniqlo store in the world. I definitely preferred it over Harajuku.
