We Flew EVERY US Business Class to Europe (Which is Best?)
Watch this video to see Business Class Comparison on America’s Best Transatlantic Airlines. We’ll show you luxurious lounges, lie flat seats, tasty (and not so tasty) meals, and so much more!
This may be our most ambitious airline comparison yet! We flew across the Atlantic three times on the #Transatlanticthrowdown to compare these top US Transatlantic Business Class Airlines head-to-head in the ultimate business class battle. Who wins? Spoiler alert: We were shocked!
Business Class is a dream! But is it really worth it? And, which is the best airline to choose? Well, we used a data-driven approach to compare American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines across the Atlantic Ocean.
We Flew every US Business Class to Europe to help you determine which US Transatlantic Airline is the best airline across the Atlantic!
In this video, you’ll essentially get to see three US Business Class Airlines in one video: An American Airlines Review, a Delta Airlines Review, and a United Airlines Review. We’ll show you what it’s like to fly on American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines in Business Class between the East Coast and London. We tried all three to see what it’s like.
Along the way, we’ll check out the airlines’ seats, business class catering, inflight entertainment (even counting the movies AND new releases!), and even compare the service experience for each one.
At the end of the video, we’ll use a data-driven decision making process to figure out which is the best business class airline by rating American Airlines vs Delta Air Lines vs United Airlines in the transatlantic throwdown!

United Polaris seat is the narrowest of all. And foot well the smallest. I prefer American for the wider seat and larger footwell. And food is better. And I fly all three airlines. Delta A330's are old.
Your comment about Elon using Trump as a financial enabler….Because governments will come and go but the goal is Mars. Literally was what I was telling people. I don't say that like, Elon doesn't care about ppl etc. I think it's, I care about the future existence of consciousness. Etc. I'm not always a massive Niel Fan, because I think sometimes he does dismiss too soon sometimes. But I actually think he has been more sharp in recent times. Anywho
Does Suzanne always choose the same dining options??? Chicken and hot fudge sundae 😂😂😂
Usually fly United and have been flying with them for two decades but I agree with your results “They are all the same”. However, I would like to add that after COVID. United major deficiency is their severe decline in-flight service. Telling a passenger that their flight is understaffed should be unacceptable & reported to FAA. American and Delta can always upgrade their planes but airlines cannot substitute service.
AirFrance first class SMOKES all of them!!!
Do you find the delta one better on the A350 to the A330-900?
Do the airlines pay for your flights or do you pay out of pocket?
C'mon, man. Your wife is trim and attractive and you look like a marshmallow. Have some respect for yourself and your wife and get yourself in better shape.

My dad works at delta and anytime we flew business class going to other countries completely changes flying. Being able to lay down and sleep cozy changes life really
The carbon impact is insane
Great vid, tks!
I found the Newark United Polaris dirty, food was lacking, and service was non-existent.
London Heathrow IS a hub/base, the last left in Europe (United also used to operate a European hub/base out of Paris/CDG and Frankfurt/FRA).
Suzanne reminds me of Carrie Brownstein
I was on a basic economy American flight last week from CLT-LHR, where I missed my first flight to CLT from a mechanical issue, so the gate attendants put me on the next flight over to catch the second LHR flight of the evening. The only seat on that flight was in Premium economy, so that’s my first bump. To my surprise, I got bumped up AGAIN to Flagship Business! Considering I’ve only ever taken cross-Atlantic flights in economy, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I agree that the interior is getting worn out quickly. There were a couple interior panels that weren’t holding on anymore, plus the B&O headphone jack (proprietary for anyone wondering) was damaged in my seat, but I didn’t mind since I was using my AirPods anyway. Even at 6’ I was able to lie down horizontally in that seat/bed, which I was incredibly surprised about.
I went with the Short Rib for my entree, and honestly I would order that on the ground. It was incredible, especially for an airline. Have I mentioned yet that I was offered as much Glenlivet 15yr scotch as I wanted?
Overall, it was still an incredible experience, barring American’s incompetence that made me miss my first AND second connecting flights (fortunately, the kind women at the British Airways desk were able to book me on a flight to a nearby airport to where I was actually going). I’m definitely going to remember that flight for a long time.
I recently flew Delta between JFK and BRU and was in Premium Select, which I thought was more or less business class. This was because of the good level of service, plus it was Zone 2 behind Delta One. So this is what's a bit confusing: you said that Delta One was business class, but it's the highest service level on the flight. And in another video, you said that Premium Select is actually premium economy. Don't they also have a real first class? I hate the way the airlines have muddled everything with their slick names.
My dad may have been your Delta 767-400 pilot, he operates out of JFK so its a possibility!
4 1/2 hours of sleep on an east coast transatlantic redeye is legendary! My evaluation criteria would have been: which of the three airlines offers a daytime eastbound flight?
end of the day: book what's most convenient. no sense driving 2 hours to another airport to get a better lounge. go to your home airport and consider it done.
Love watching you guys. We're currently researching a business class flight we'll be taking to London for a cruise and this was a great help. Thanks so much!
What about Jet Blue ?
I have been to the United Polaris lounge in Houston! best experience ever!
By the way, the Terminal A United club is also the “Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge” due to sharing lounges by alliance.
I'm a travel agent this video was very educational
Qatar and Emirates are two of the best.
American flights —— nah.
I booked a Polaris flight to Sydney, 16 hours, wanted a preview. Thanks.
I so so love your videos .. Jeb your voice is so soothing
the cost of each ?
Not much help. A tie. Really???!
They rich rich!🤑
I've flown business on both United 787 and Delta A350-900 to Japan in the past year. I found both seats coffin like with no room to turn during sleep (i'm 6'2" / 200#). Little room for storage (have to put bedding in overhead (until sleep). Food on both was mediocre at best. Crews on both were good. FOR WHAT I PAID IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. Polaris Lounge in ORD was great, able to take a shower and lots of sewing options.
That dirty 70's looking tray on AA was a little embarrassing, that would not be tolerated on most all other airlines. If you pay that much money, it should be minimally cleaned, and that is very minimal to me.
Well since flights is mainly all about the seat then united got it.
…and this is why I fly LUFTHANSA.
In regards to the AA flight, their was a policy change in the last year or two regarding the headphones and leaving them with the pax gate to gate. As for the breakfast, I prefer to skip breakfast on the plane and get it, plus a hot shower at the AA arrivals lounge exclusive to LHR
JetBlue has a top tier 1st class product to Europe for much cheaper!
Your video proves there’s a monopoly, or should I say “tri-opoly” in the skies where each of the 3 carriers don’t try to outdo each other but rather try to match each other in cost cutting measures and simplified service.
I want to know how UK customs handled all these trips haha
Since I fly out of ATL Delta is always the first choice.
Great vid guys. Delta's new lounge in BOS Terminal E is super. As our departure airport for euro flights and Delta's partnership with AF and KLM it works for us.
Heyyyy fellow GSO local! This is a valuable video for biz flyers and I appreciate it. Always a Delta One girlie, so it was cool to see the other 2!
i flew with BA ( British Airways ) Business to Europe ( Round Trip ) and it was a very pleasant experience
The most amazing experience I've ever had flying was Emirates business on their A380 from SFO to Dubai. Made the 15 hour flight feel like an SFO to EWR flight.
No doubt United has the worst catering.
I hope for your sake it’s more about the connection, joy, fun, adventure, lasting impression and memories of your trip than the convenience, and utility maximization for efficacy. Money can’t buy true joy, pure peace and ultimate contentment.
