What are your favourite European cities? Recently I had chance to visit three of mine when I went to London, Paris and Rome on a tour with Monograms Travel.

These European capitals are the quintessential choice for a trip that explores the continent’s most famous sights and attractions. So I loved getting to grips with them.

Even though London is my home town it was great to be a tourist there, visiting places I’d last visited as a child like Hampton Court Palace, and some I hadn’t even been to before like Windsor Castle, and taking in the London Eye, cruising down the River Thames and more. You can read about the some of the most popular palaces and castles around London that you can visit here:

Paris is more than just a city – it’s a feeling. And I got a feel for Parisian life on the second part of my journey. The City of Light really did light up my world when I went to the Palace of Versailles, on a dinner cruise along the River Seine, and ticked off all those famous landmarks – from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre Museum.

The final leg of my journey took me to the Eternal City of Rome where I loved taking one of Monogram’s free city tours as it gave us early access to the Vatican City and St Peter’s Basilica – before the hoards of other tourists turned up. Rome is my favourite city in the world so wandering it’s famed attractions like the Colosseum and those slightly less famous like St Paul’s Basilica, were a highlight of this journey.

I’m an independent traveller at heart, but with included tours with knowledgable guides, friendly local hosts to help you navigate your city, access to the sights culture of my destinations through various tours and authentic experiences, quality hotels, scheduled flights and private transfers, Monograms made my trip easy and fun and I would certainly travel with them again.
