EDINBURGH keeps SURPRISING us!๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ- SCOTTISH FOOD and things do to in SCOTLAND’S CAPITAL

In this week’s video, we explore Edinburgh, Scotland. We are showing you some delicious Scottish food and the best things to do in Scotland’s capital. Edinburgh keeps surprising us!

We begin our day by grabbing some breakfast at Cafe Edinburgh, located on the Royal Mile.
After our delicious breakfast, we explore the Royal Mile, making a few stops along the way. First, we grab some fudge from the Fudge House. Next, we check out the local crafts at the Tron Kirk Market. After this, we check out the Heart of Midlothian and visit Anja’s old apartment.
From here, we decide to make a stop by Princes Street Gardens before making our way to Calton Hill for some incredible views of the city.
Now that it’s time for lunch, we swing by Oink to try one of their pulled pork rolls with haggis.
After our delicious lunch, we visit Greyfriar’s Kirkyard, one of the many graveyards located within the city. Here, we discuss some spooky facts about the city of Edinburgh and attempt to find some famous gravestones associated with Harry Potter.
From here, we head to the Grassmarket, where we try some whisky-flavored ice cream.
After a long day of exploring, it’s now time for some drinks. First, we visit The White Hart Inn, where we try Scottish beer and cider.
We then take a quick break for some deep-fried food at Castle Rock Fish & Chips. We decide to try a pizza crunch & a deep-fried Mars bar for dessert.
Lastly, we visit one of Anja’s old favorite bars, Bannerman’s. It’s here that we end the day with more beer and some Scottish whisky.

  1. Edinburgh truly has a special place in our hearts so we really loved revisiting this city, even though it is sooo expensive nowadays ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. We love the dark history and ghost stories, and whenever you walk around exploring, you always find something new and interesting hidden away somewhere. What is your favourite place in the city and are there any foods that we should have tried? What's your favourite bar in Edinburgh? Our next video is actually a huge Scottish food tour where we tried so many delicious traditional dishes! Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching as always! ๐Ÿ˜Š- Brandon & Anja

  2. Love maple walnut fudge. There is an American movie Hachi based on the original Japanese movie about the true story of a loyal dog. Akita is the breed and they are known for their loyalty. Great movie. Edinburgh – filled with tourists and dead people. Ha, ha!

  5. Deffo dont get a deep fried mars bar. Thats just for the tourists lol. I usually get a sausage supper. Ie deep fried battered sausage and chips but ill get cheese on the chips. Chips and cheese btw was another scottish invention. Remember tried to order it in england and they looked at me with disgust. Now they sell it. Probably try to claim it as their own now like they did with tikka masala. Enjoy ur stay. Dont stay in edinburgh though. Pls tour. Scotland has so much to offer and so many hidden delights. Take care

  6. Hell ya on the Real McKenzies show! Grew up in south Boston and as an Irish kid growing up in southie in the 80โ€™s I started learning to NA Celtic punk scene. Great bunch of blokes!

  7. Castle rock isn't good, guys sorry live ur vlog always love watching what other people think but your too easily pleased with them it's really bad failed there food hygiene a while back

  8. I`m Scottish, lived and worked in Edinburgh for 10 years. I`m in my hometown now 25mins by train, 30 mins drive and often pop through for a visit to catch up with friends.
Its good to watch this as its easy to forget what I have on my doorstep. Along with puffins and seals ๐Ÿฆญ๐Ÿฆญ

  9. Next-to- no one likes Haggis. It belongs in the past. It's smelly and taste like mud. Want a dish which represents we Scots now? Try chicken tikka masala. And.. porridge is just oats, water/ milk with either sugar, salt or with a dab of jam. What you had was the Rolls Royce of porridge. Americans invented fudge; we invented tablet. Just saying.

  10. I'm Japanese-Scottish. So I can say that, in Edinburgh, I have Greyfriar's Bobby. And in Tokyo I have Hachiko. A very similar story to Bobby's. And Harry flipping Potter. Names came from Greyfriar's churchyard; first two books written in Edinburgh; Diagon Alley ( Victoria Street ); George Heriot's – me old school. Big up!! It – my old school – well, for three years – is the inspiration and the model for '' Hogwart's '.

  11. I think visitors are thick Dundee is the forth biggest city in Scotland with so much to offer and sunniest place in Scotland yet choose to be robbed with prices in Edinburgh and Glasgow ur loss๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  12. For free live acoustic music in one of the oldest pubs in Scotland you should try the Captain's Bar on South College Street (5 mins walk from the Royal Mile). There are sessions every day from 3pm until at least midnight. Recommended.

  13. You can see all the black coating coming off the nose of the statue, for some reason tour guides to the area have repeatedly told people over the years that if you rub its nose you get good luck and all that happens is the coating gets rubbed off the statue. Now lots of people believe it and just rub the paint off the statue again and again. I've lived 40 minutes from there most of my four and a half decades on the planet I can assure you, it doesn't bring you good luck and if anyone would read some of the real stories from Scotland then they would see that there are no fairy tales here. While an ancient castle might look like it was out of a fairy tale, its not so much cindarella as its game of thrones and this is where the "Wildlings" are from.

  14. Not many thing taste better than a deep fried onion pizza but you definitely feel your life force leaving your body with every grease filled mouthful๐Ÿ˜‚
