I love you “show”. Very helpful. I downloaded the app you recommended FareDrop. Problem I am facing is, it asks for a login, but no where do I see how to create an account.
Why are you always looking down? Whether in YouTube videos or in your courses videos, u r always tilting your head down. U can’t speak to the camera in leveled eyes?
Here’s a great hack that’s worked for me for over 30 years…….work for an airline ! Then even when you’re at work you’re still traveling !
Went to London for 1 wk and spent 7k for party of 3… I’ll never do that again
Nik, this was a really good travel hack video. Doing research for a 30-45 day trip to look at locations for a move next yr.
Where did you stay in Amsterdam? Hotel? AirBnB? other? We will be there for a few days before we get on a river cruise next year. Currently booked at the Sir Albert with Marriott points
I was surprised that in Brussels, you did not have a picture of the Atomium, related for the World Exposition of 1958. If in Paris, you would surely have shown the Eiffel Tower, also erected for a World Expo.
I remember doing Europe on $2 a day. $4-6 a day in expensive cities. Guess I'm old.
Please don’t bring your tipping culture to other countries. I am begging you!!!
Globe Tips – I can't find this for Android. Is it only for Apple? 🙁
Nik getting ready for 1.5 months in Italy, 2 months in Dubai, and 1 month in Spain. Your videos have been invaluable including discount code to Unbound Thank you!!!!
Cheap flights happen off-season, mid-week, and you can forget about taking your KIDS. (That's why the prices drop – DINKs are the only ones going)
My rule of thumb for restaurants in non English speaking countries is if you walk in/by and all you hear is English and you’re in France or Italy or Spain or …. Walk away
The good museums in London are almost all free
Thanks! Great channel 👍 great info in this video!
I love how you keep things clear and easy to follow!
Even though I’ve only ever used the train in a few countries in Europe it’s been great. I also found that Rome, Florence, and Paris are walkable and I would miss so much if I used transit because there’s something amazing to see around every corner. I’m over 60 and not super fit but I was able to walk to everything. Also I agree that eating where locals eat is a great suggestion. I will ask locals where they eat, where they shop and I get good advice.
Nik, you said in one of your videos you travelled for $50-100 combined per day. Was the hotel included? If so how did you find these amazing deals? Please share. Thank you.
I can’t believe people pay for hotels all the time. You REALLY need to make friends in the countries you visit or make friends BEFOREHAND.
It doesn’t hurt that I live in NYS; so what I am saying goes both ways.
I ONLY ever stayed at hotels when my job pays for them and sends me there.
The REALLY CHEAP WAY … is to visit where you have friends and continue making friends. I’ve never stayed in one hotel, yet! And yes, I give my friends a few hundred Euros and always bring great gifts and return the favor when they visit on my end.
But did I mention I live in NYS? (2 hours from NYC). They can enjoy the rural countryside and then jaunt into NYC for the day or overnight.
They can borrow my car, eat my food, etc. I can’t really see visiting a country and not being in someone’s home.
But I guess it depends on the person. I focus more on people than things and sights. And then I meet foreigners from yet other countries; and get to visit them and vice versa.
My husband and I have a dream goal to spend 30 days in Europe in 2026 for our 30th anniversary. He’s been researching and planning for over a year…spreadsheets and the whole 9 yards. We just purchased your Travel Europe For Less Seminar. So excited to get into it! Thanks for all your hard work, dedication and willingness to share and educate others so we can learn from you and your experiences!
I feel that more people are travelling in shoulder/off seasons now. Anyone else? It seems that way but I could be wrong.
I think it's the cost of airfare that makes people think it's expensive
