  1. I had a blast putting this video together and digging into all these incredible works of art and the artists behind them. I'm a history nerd, and I’m excited to share that passion with you!

  2. I'm an art teacher from the US that will likely never get to travel to this museum. I've studied these artists for years. Thank you for letting me experience this in this way!

  3. What are the max settings you recommend for 3603D60fps and 3602D60fps export on Quest 3 for local playback? AV1 or H265? What bitrate for 3D and which for 2D?

  4. That was really very interesting, thank you for taking me to the Louvre. You explained everything really well, you could think you studied art history. I love these VR videos especially from museums when you can see the work of art up close and you always explain it very well. But I don't understand why people are actually allowed to take photos in the Louvre? and there are over 30,000 other exhibits stored in the basement of the Louvre. In principle, you could open a second museum, right? Greetings from Germany 😄and keep it up guys👌👍more vids from this 😃and I don't like vision pro at all because I'm not a millionaire😢

  5. Thank you very much! We haven't had the time to visit. How did you got film permissions? I wanted to capture it with my Pro 2 ^^ just captured 30min walking outside 😀

  6. @hughhou Official Topaz Statement for upscaling vs upframing: With that being said, I would recommend shoot at 8k and then use the Frame Interpolation model to increase the frame rate to 60fps. This will reduce the need for the AI models to upscale the footage which could lead to some distortions based on the subject matter in the video and how those subjects move through the frame.

However, it would be worth running a few tests with short clips shot both in 8k and 6k and run both workflows to see how your system handles them and which produces more ideal results.

The same applies for going to 8k at 120fps and keep in mind that the larger the resolution and the higher the frame rate the longer the processing time will be.

So: Upframe low framerate high res for quality and upscale fast framerate low res for render speed. (when it comes to 360)

  7. @hughhou response here since you don't get notifications you said once: What is your professional workflow? Capture 5.7k60 and upscale with Topaz?

What Ai tool do you recommend for upframing 3603D?

  8. What do you use for 360 upframing and for 360 upscaling as software? I thought topaz in Davinci so it is stitchline aware? Please tell me what tool you use for what purpose 🙈

  9. Thank you for taking us on your Louvre tour. I watched it on the Quest 2 and enjoyed it (although only on the Youtube app). The little bits of information about the artworks were very interesting, the presentation very sympathetic. The integration of the still photos also made the whole thing more interesting. It's a shame that 180VR videos are still a niche offering. All the more reason for me to respect you for taking on what must have been a very technically complex production, which certainly represents what is currently technically feasible, in order to give the small community of VR fans this experience.
Sometimes I wish we were already 10 years ahead in terms of technology, could easily produce high-resolution 180VR videos and had more comfortable VR glasses with a larger field of vision. But on the other hand, it's exciting to see how the technical development is (slowly) progressing.

  10. What Gnostic Di Vinci himself did not know that his last supper painting was the not the last supper, but sans it, in truth is the projection of the MARRIAGE FEAST OF THE LAMB SURROUNDING Our Lord and Our Lady are the beloved first fruits of the Lamb , to Joels Prophecy of the Army of God (of whom I be a witness) in the latter rain of the Spirit,

  11. This insightful observation highlights the evolving landscape of media. While 3D experiences may not seamlessly integrate with traditional voice-driven narratives, they offer an exciting avenue to explore innovative storytelling techniques. The role of the narrator and voice-over within immersive 3D environments will undoubtedly be shaped by audience reception, emphasizing the dynamic relationship between creators and consumers in the ever-changing media landscape.

  12. Hi Hugh. I appreciate your dedication and your content.

With this video i see terrible distortion visible on the portrait frames – in many / most cases they look wavy (not straight) when viewed on the quest 3, to the point that i find it distracting. Is this due to the compression or is it just an inescapable fact when doing the dual fisheye vr180 using the canon lens? Which lens / camera was it? I even see it on the photographs

  13. This was easily on my top 10 list of best VR180 3D videos and I've watched a LOT of VR videos. What sets it apart is the detailed snap shots of the paintings. You can see the textures in the canvas this way. I say this should be the new standard for any other content creator who does these types of videos. Anytime artwork of any kind is focused on, there should be a photo snap shot like this!

  14. Hi Hugh, big fan and loved this video! Keeley was great too! Curious how you got such steady footage on the R5c without a tripod — one comment said you couldn't bring one in, so were you able to bring in the gimbal? Also curious what ISO, aperture and shutter speeds you were using to get the indoor Louvre shots — my mark ii arrives tomorrow and I want to be ready to take some good indoor light footage!

  15. Très belle vidéo du beau travail bravo. Une petite question sûre davinci resolve 19 studio a-t-on encore besoin de plug in comme KartaVR ??

  16. Can i watch the same way on quest 2? So Hugh, how much more amazing is the Apple vision compared to the Q3? So sad that not all of us can justify the expense, especially at Aussie dollar prices!

  17. Saw this on quest 3 on meta tv. Most of the shots were incredible. The photos were truly breathtaking. I'm wondering what is causing the motion blur though? Is a higher frame rate needed? A better headset?

  18. I watched this in my VR headset. The female kept getting so close to the camera and would sometimes startle you because she would be in your face. Definitely in one’s personal space, not an enjoyable experience

  19. Thanks for this content, one of the few channels that offer VR videos in this quality. The R5M2 is a great camera, unfortunately not in my price range. As I have seen, the iPhone from version 15 onwards can also record 3D videos. Have you made videos on your channel with the iPhone or could you make one or two to see if it's worth it? Otherwise, I have made 3D films with two Sony cameras, side by side.

  20. I saw this video on the Quest 3 and there is something wrong with it because it gave me motion sickness. Other videos haven't done that. I think its because the camera was not totally still and vibrated at times. I am very sensitive to motion sickness though.

  21. hello , by default youtube display video in 720p . A first step to enhance quality is to change quality settings of the video's parameters on website or youtube app

  22. It's one of the best VR180 videos I've seen but I still think 4K per eye is not enough for VR video and I hope there will be 8K 180 2D VR video in the period, then when technology is ready and we posses hardwear ,3d must be created
