FIND THE CHEAPEST FLIGHTS ON GOOGLE FLIGHTS (STEP BY STEP) FOR 1ST TIMERS | Hidden Features & Tricks
Ft. easy-to-miss tricks like unlocking historical pricing graphs, using the date grid, how to use the ‘explore destinations’ map, and more, today’s video will show you step by step how I book flights using Google Flights.
NOTE: This video focuses more on when you have a set time and destination in mind. Better deals can often be found if you’re flexible (which in this case I’m not), but the same principles apply! I’d recommend watching this older video of mine about finding cheap flights for more tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqBjW4WNM4g
BONUS TIP FOR FREE MONEY: I forgot to mention this in the video but be sure to take advantage of cashback websites when booking your flights because then you can get a % of your money back at no extra cost! Rakuten is my go-to for this, and you can use my referral links below for a bonus $30.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This video focuses more on when you have a set time and destination in mind. Better deals can often be found if you're flexible (which in this case I'm not), but the same principles apply! If you have flexibility, be sure to monitor flight deal websites and use all the Google Flights tools I showcase to find even cheaper deals.
I'd also recommend watching this older video of mine about finding cheap flights for more general tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqBjW4WNM4g
Thank you for the tips. Enjoyed your Italy videos.
Thank you! This is great information about flying into certain airports and then taking a short flight to where you're "really" going. I book tickets months and months in advance. If I had to wait until the last minute, I'd have hives by then. 🤣😳 I may or may not have booked my tickets to London/Amsterdam 8 months in advance. I was excited though…
I enjoyed the video, but would add to the last segment that booking flights separately adds the risk that a delay in the first flight leads to missing the second, with neither carrier being obligated to take you to your destination.
Thank you for answering my "when to book" question! Looking forward to trying these tips out for my trip to Europe this fall.
i was looking into flights from newark to savannah and i don't appreciate carryons not allowed! what's up with that?!
Thank you! Your video was very informative!
Love the YVR LHR example. Just been through a few weeks of planning my trip to Canada from London. I picked BA multicity for LHR – YUL and then YVR – LHR – they weren’t only cheaper than Air Canada but their planes on these routes are much newer (less jet lag haha).
Hi there, your videos are very informative. I have a question: If I am planning to do Italy in a week, including Naples & Rome what other cities would you recommend, please, when flying from Toronto? Thanks
Hi I'm wondering since cookies and trackers usually log your search history and allegedly increase prices for flight routes that you've searched for – would this not happen when you click "track flights" or "any dates" since they're linked to your Gmail account?
Loving your content so much Christina, I recently just stumbled on your channel. I'm planning a Euro trip for the fam, v scary … biggest holiday in a while Lon, Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome any tips on the internal travel I'm flexible with the order of cities, looking for what routes makes sense, easiest for transit. Any pro tips would be greatly appreciated : ). Thank you
Christina, thank you so much, great help!!👏♥️
Immediately subscribed… now i can watch the video… thank you ❤❤❤
I dread the overnight flights to Europe so I was considering flying business class vs coach. Is it worth the expense or are you finding the seating just as uncomfortable but more expensive?
So glad I wandered onto your video! Very practical, informative, and your voice is so calming! Subscribed, of course! 😏
Christy you are wonderful ❤❤❤
Thank you for your content, a new follower Cristina from
Hawaii. You are practicality made decisions. That I need someone to guide us for a first time traveler in Europe. ❤
Brilliant !
I cant see the price grid option when I am searching for flights
No match for Momondo. I checked a flight and it was a grand cheaper on Momondo compared to Google flights.
