🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
Retirement in the U.S. is getting more expensive,
but smart retirees are moving abroad to enjoy a better life for a fraction of the cost!
Do you also want to escape from a place with high cost of living
increasing violence
and high taxes?
You’re about to learn where you can buy a home in 10 serene, beautiful places for under $100K
and you’ll wish you knew this sooner.
I analyzed hundreds of cities to arrive at a result
that surprised even myself!
Honestly, despite living in Europe, I never imagined that there are European Mediterranean towns
where you can buy a 3-room apartment
with a sea view like this one
for less than 62,000 dollars!
Less than the price of a parking spot in many American cities!
So stick around, or you might miss the best retirement deal of your life.
First, we start with Latin America, and then Europe – and our first country has been through a lot lately
Argentina
Argentina is not a good place if you need to earn a salary – but if you live on a pension from abroad, then things turn completely
With its recent economic fluctuations, Argentina has seen property prices adjust, making it a prime destination for those looking to stretch their retirement dollars further.
And the lower cost of living is just a small part of all the attractions this country has.
Argentina is still one of the best countries in Latin America to live.
Now, of course, it will be very hard for you to find a good place in Buenos Aires for less than 100,000 dollars.
However, why would you want to live in Buenos Aires?
Let’s dive into two specific cities where buying a home for less than $100,000 is not just possible but comes with the bonus of a good quality of life.
First is Mar del Plata

  1. Of these 10 countries, which one would you consider the most attractive? 2. From Numbeo: Buy Apartment Price

    Arequipa

Price per Square Meter to Buy Apartment in City Centre 10,763.91 S/.

    (2,895.08 $)

    Cuenca

Price per Square Meter to Buy Apartment in City Centre 4,461.60 S/.

    (1,200.00 $) -58.6 %

  3. I would also recommend Albania. Prices and cost of living are good, crime is very low, Visa access is excellent, there is no tax on retirement pension income and you can own property here. That ownership also comes with residency and visa advantages.

Albania is a beautiful, quiet, safe and peaceful country. There is very little to none of the crime, social, racial, religious and Woke drama we see so much of in the west. I love it here, but it is not for everyone and there are challenges.

Getting mail or items shipped from the US is very expensive for example. Also finding what you need can be challenging as there are few chain restaurants, malls and no Walmart's or Targets here either. The items are available here, but it will take time to learn your neighborhood and know where you need to go to get them. Google maps is a big help here.

Also I should say that if you like to drink, party and go to Clubs this is probably a bad choice. Albania is a quiet, family oriented and conservative country; blue hair, tattoos, etc. are not seen or appreciated here. Dressing like you just came from the gym or the hood are not seen here either… Just saying.

That quiet, respectful and reserved nature is one of the things I love about the country and it's people, but your views may differ and if they do, this is probably not the place for you. Wishing everyone happiness and success in your search.

  4. I consider Argentina and Chile the most attractive because they have wide open spaces in Patagonia, in the south, and the ocean moderates the climate so there is less effect from climate change, and they are far from the warring nations in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe (Russia). The people are warm and welcoming. The cost of living is much lower than in the U.S..

  5. "why would you want to live in Buenos Aires" quality healthcare and other well functioning infrastructure. Also certain safety considerations.
Generally, the talk about Argentina lacks some context on certain things related to safety, quality of life, quality of air, etc.
It's for a reason that homes in Cordoba are cheaper. If you want to retire and live comfortably… 100k for a property is a questionable budget.

  6. Hungary does not want retired foreign people! I bought a house there in 2013. Last year they refused to renew my residence permit because I ''Have no purpose in Hungary''. Now, I and other foreign retirees can only be in Hungary three months at a time. Very stupid of them as we bring in foreign capital and cause virtually no problems.
