  1. Thank you, Sinead. Just the tour I was waiting for. I'm coming to London in a few days, and I'll definitely go and see these places. I've always wanted to visit this part of London.

  2. Thanks Sinead, another banger as always. I'm back in London next month for another solo mooch, so I'll do this walk and follow in your footsteps to see the sights on the way to Battersea Power station.

  3. It's not really beautiful. Especially when you know the control and power America holds over our country. Its numerous military bases (laughingly claiming to still be 'RAF' ๐Ÿ™„) around the UK and politically the UK Govt having to bow to US will on Foreign policy and other issues. We have no political independence. US intelligence interferes in our elections.

And now this once working class area, public land, handed over to private owners who restrict Londoners access to it ๐Ÿ˜ญ
No thanks. Not beautiful at all.

  4. Interesting you didn't refer to the attack on the MI6 (SIS) building in the year 2000 with an RPG-22 missile fired from Vauxhall gardens.

  5. That was very interesting re: lobsters (& oysters). We have a name for those dragging on the ocean (or lake) floor: bottom feeders (also a pejorative for an opportunist. That's so funny how it changed….or were we tricked?๐Ÿคฃ I wonder if Hodge ended up with a pearl collar ? ๐Ÿ˜ I also really like seeing that miniature St. Pauls!

  6. I first stumbled across Sineadโ€™s Jack the Ripper tour video (great watch for those who havenโ€™t) and have stayed for her enthusiasm for sharing the joys of London. Thanks to Sinead and all the guides for the fascinating tours, facts and stories! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

  7. Victoria park gardens was near the FRONT of the queue to see the queen lying in state, but the queue extended 10 miles with the BACK, what I would call the end of it, in Southwark Park.

  8. Interesting and enjoyable video. Have you ever covered St Erminโ€™s Hotel in St Jamesโ€™s Park, London? I understand it was home to British Secret Intelligence during WW2 and many great spies were involved there such as Ian Fleming.

  9. Yes there are tunnels from Whitehall to Downing St and to Mi5. Back when i was an apprentice in 1988 we were taken on a tour at Whitehall and we went down to the downing street tunnel and also got to see the underground "war rooms".

  10. I was once told that the Aussie nickname "Poms" for British expats is derived from "Prisoners of Morpeth". I don't know if there is any truth to that.
