The headline here is a bit misleading. Cruises are not being canceled due to the seismic activity…but of course the port of Santorini will be. for some time into the future. Med cruises or Greek Island cruises not calling at Santorini should be fine. It is really the tourists with reservations on the island that have the dilemma. I think they will get lots of cancellations. The port area is one of the most dangerous so cruises will avoid I the island I think for quite some time. long answer to no I would not cancel my cruise but would expect Santorini to be changed.
Why isn't it standard protocol for all cruise ships to require hand washing, especially when eating or getting on the ship! This would reduce transfer of viruses.
Having sailed both the Disney Wonder and Magic, choose the Magic if the itinerary fits your plans.
Question- do you know how the crew appreciation fee associated with the princess premier package is appropriated. I.e. how much to cabin steward, main dining room waiters etc. and does it apply to waiters in specialty dining room? We always give more to each of these crew members but we want to be sure it’s enough. Thanks

In May we are already going to Crete, so wonder where we will go if we cannot go to Santorini (on the SUN)
One thing we should have learned by now, never put off what you can do now. Virus, health, world status, you name it, anything can change in an instant.
We are supposed to stop at Santorini on Easter. There are lots of other stops on our itinerary that we are excited for. We are still planning on our cruise! The world is big and beautiful and we have never failed to find something to appreciate about every place we have visited.
I would agree with you Allison! We were lucky enough to get to go to Russia for 2 days on our 2016 cruise and now they can't go anymore! Go when you can while you can, life happens and no tomorrows are guaranteed
Book a group cruise to Vietnam and Thailand and we will go for sure!
We are sailing on the Celebrity Ascent out of Rome in May. We will not cancel but Santorini is on our bucket list. Fingers crossed.
hi we have cruised Alaska several times on the Disney wonder. Loved it. The photo shoots with the characters is awesome, Loved the rotational dining. The shows are great.
I'm scheduled to sail MSC through the Greek Islands May 10th with stops in Santorini, Keflonia, Olympia, Corfu & Athens so Im paying close attention to the state of emergency in Thira. I'm super excited and not planning to cancel my cruise but it's a concern. I would be ok if the Santorini stop was rescheduled for Crete instead but let's see. Thanks for the reassurance and tips!
