For a French driver's licence, the French government will do an automatic exchange if you have a DL from one of the US states on the list (it's a list of about 15 states).
Can you tell me which of those countries don't have a years long wait?
Viva la France๐
How do you spell the 2 slower place lifestyle areas in France. Thanks John
I'm French, do not come to France, the country is in a mess, and the health system is failing. The state being in the verge of bankruptcy, taxes on real estate are bound to increase sharply , so buying a property would be a terrible idea.
You should make a very clear distinction between Europe, the continent and EUrope, the political unit of the European Union! If someone gets a long-term visa for a country in the EU it doesn't mean he/she can simply hop over to the UK for an example!
I'm a proud and happy EUropean! There are no big problems, if some US pensioners want to retire to a beautiful and peaceful place, i welcome you. If you are a Trump refugee, even more so. But perhaps you should ask yourself the Kennedy (and Kennedy is one of the most respected US presidents till today here in Germany) question: 'It's not what can a country do for you, but what can you do for the country?'
This video is directed to retirees, so it may not be a question of economics but a question about being open to foreign culture! Anybody with plans to move – get your ass out of the couch and start to learn the language!! Go traveling on Google Earth and learn about your dream home/region!
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence – spare yourself the disappointment to learn that grass is just grass, no matter where ๐
As i have written, i welcome you – i have learned your language and could even help you if you ask but i expect you to return the compliment..
Thank You
Greece currency is Euro, good against US $, Santorini is being evacuated due to the volcano looks like lots of earthquakes and land rising under the island and volcano may come up and erupt February News 2025
Cost of living isn't cheap in France and taxes are high. Cheap property in the countryside though. I adore France but am considering other countries for retirement. The French attitude to Brexit is concerning too for Brits.
Another note about France: they do not require you to have guaranteed regular income from an official government or corporate pension. You can qualify by showing sufficient balances in your savings and/or investment accounts. This is a critical benefit, as most countries require you to have an official pension in order to qualify.
Another positive about the visa in France is that I believe you can still work and earn an income as long as you arenโt working for a French company or arenโt earning money from French customers (e.g. if you do consulting work, your clients cannot be French).
INMIGRACION NO!! DESDE๐ช๐ฆ Quedaros en vuestros paises Yanquis o lo que.seais.el pais esta absolutamente destruido.
Whole Europe is invaded and occupied by migrants who are transforming it into a third world country!
Surprised France made the # 1 spot of the 5
I'm a citizen of Portugal and have all my IDs up to date so in my case I can just move there and have all the benefits which I thinking of doing I guess I'm blessed in a way lol
Greece: in addition to the great weather and excellent healthcare, I like their 7% personal income tax for retirees.
When these countries want a criminal background check. Are we talking felonies, misdemeanors? Arrests? Convictions?
Asking for a friend ๐
Albania Should Have Been On This List!
