  1. You gotta see now the mountain resorts, above Sofia on Vitosha you can ski 7/24 there are literally city busses going, see the rest of BG, the summers cities are boiling, Black Sea too! You'll like BG much more than W Europe, if you speak the tongue great cultural life literally every day cultural events in every district ciy of the 28, all of them have opera, theater (real one with stage & life actors), concert hall, art galleries (always 1 of the city & few private ones), museum, ancient sites. 2 countries in the world are full with ancient sites (the oldest in the world) everywhere – BG & Italia, in BG we have ancient Thracia, Italia has just younger Roman sites. Find friends there are Brits, US Americans, Europeans, find clubs of interests or follow Bulgarian politics (the Socialist Party is the former Communists Party & is right wing ultra conservative) is a great thing never boring maybe the Bulgarian politician stars are thieves liers & criminals (most are naturally gifted) but some are great characters (liberal conservators & conservative liberals). Also mentality wise BG isn't divided in South & North like the rest world but in East & West.

  2. Also Ignat Kaneff at some point of time he was the richest Canadian a self made out of misery billionaire, born in BG, came with no family but few childhood bodies when he was 14 before WW2 in Canada from Germany where he went when he was 8 with his elder brothers to work. Also Canada is the Home of the stupiest ever Bulgarian prime minister a soul that would be a shame even for USA politician, Justin Trudeau & Joey Biden can be only jealous of such genuine & genius stupidity, Ted Kotcheff another Canadian born Bulgarian was the director of the 1st Rambo movie "Rambo the 1st blood". New Boyana Films is the 2nd largest movie studio in EU always busy with alot of Hollywood productions & "stars" there 12 months they may have some museum.

  3. You should visit Plovdiv, if you like Sofia so much, then Plovdiv will leave you breathless. If you are in Plovdiv and I am free, write to me, I will be happy to join the city tour with you and show it to you.

  4. It's funny, for me, that you call the trams/ tramway – трамвай in Bg/ – trolley /cars/. I know about the trolley carts in a mine, etc. The trams are trams, as say in Dublin, etc. with their tramway rail
lines. We have trolleybuses in Sofia, they are normal buses but with two poles above to connect them to the electricity line, as in front of the University.

  5. One of the most impressive buildings in Sofia is Hagia Sofia Basilica (Holy Wisdom). Incorrectly translated everywhere as Saint Sofia. Wisdom of God is among the epithets of Jesus Christ and the temples named "St. Sophia" are dedicated to the Son of God, not to the holy martyr Sophia. Sophia (Wisdom) is the Wisdom of God, after whom the holy martyr is named.
This church originates from IV century. Later rebuilt and expanded. Serdica council was held there.
The Edict of Serdica, also called Edict of Toleration by Galerius, was issued in 311 in Serdica by Roman Emperor Galerius. Probably in this building. It officially ended the Diocletianic Persecution of Christianity in the Eastern Roman Empire. This is few years before the Edict of Milan, that everyone knows. Nobody knows about the Edict of Serdica because who the hell cares. Milan everyone has heard of.
You probably missed the oldest building in Sofia, because it is just inside the courtyard of the President office.
The Church of Saint George if early IV century building (early ~300), and is still a functioning church.

  6. Probably the most beautiful building in Sofia and absolutely my favorite place to hang out is the National Theater Ivan Vazov. Probably you didn’t go there yet, otherwise it will definitely be on the video, so I suggest go visit it 🙂

  7. Two months, wow 🤯 So there's a chance we can bump on the streets somewhere 😄. If you like, you can visit some of the parks here. "South Park" or "Borisova garden". I personally like "Varzrazhdane park" as it's close to me and it's recently renovated (even the trees haven't grown as much yet).

  8. Let aside christian crosses on top of the domes, wouldn't you doubt yourself knowing that on the porch of what you've shown/titled as Banya Bashi mosque the recently passed out previous patriarch of Bulgarian Orthodox Church is buried?

  9. Действително, София е бил любимия град на Константин Велики. Може би заради Минералните Извори в който се е ликувал,може би заради разположението. Затова и тук се провежда Сердикийския Събор(Църковен Събор).

  10. You've been to Budapest, Prague, and many other cities around the world, they also have trams there, why do you call the trams🚋 in Sofia trolleybuses 🚎? Churches have crosses, and mosques have crescents.🌙

  11. Another great video by you. I hate graffiti too. I get mad seeing them and then I have to think " not as bad as Athens, where I didn't see a single building which was not vandalized" by very creative "artists" that feel the need to make everything uglier. The seven Saints church was also a mosque and a jail. I hope you will visit the catacombs under st Sofia church, they are only a century younger then the famous catacombs in Rome. I love my country, Bulgarian state have survived for over 13 centuries on the Balkans despite all invaders, thanks to the sacrifice of brave defenders, as we are on a very important crossroad. Sofia is neither, Paris, Rome, San Fransisco, Vancouver, Quebec city or some other famous cities, but I prefer living here, then any other place I could settle

  12. You have such a great sense of wonder.. We bulgarians are used to live with these treasures /old buildings.. trolleys..,busses..etc.. / and slowly began to take them for granted.. It's very nice to see someone just walking and enjoying everything.. that's why one of my guilty pleasures is watching foreigners enjoying things..

  13. I abolutely loved this for a few reasons. I can't get enough of learning more about Bulgaria right now, that you show so many things I didn't get a chance to see when I was there for a short visit but mainly because of the drone views. When you visit a place you see ground level, and as you pointed out, some of these locations are massive. Seeing the views from the camera in the sky is fantastic. It really does reveal how majestic some of these places really are.

  14. Bulgaria has winter resorts where people go skiing, and many tourists visit during the winter season. The most popular and largest winter resorts are Borovets, Bansko, and Pamporovo. Additionally, many tourists visit Bulgaria for spa tourism. The country is the second richest in mineral water in Europe, attracting many visitors to its spa facilities during winter. The spa capital of the Balkans is Velingrad, but there are many other spa towns throughout the country like Sapareva Bania, Bansko, Varna, Pavel Bania, Hisar, the oldest spa resourt in the country Varshets…
