An untouched abandoned house in the Netherlands, rich in preserved family history… 🏚️🇳🇱
It’s almost unheard of.
For the past eight years, I’ve searched, exploring many forgotten corners of my country. And I’ve never seen anything like this.

A man of the sea once called this house home. 🌊⚓
Mr. Evert—a ship captain, a salesman, a collector of stories. His love for the water bled into every part of this house.
Steering wheels from ships still rest on walls. 🛞
Compasses still point to forgotten directions. 🧭
His world was the open sea, yet this house was his anchor.

But anchors don’t always hold forever. ⚓⏳
In 2010, Evert took his final voyage. 🚢💨
His wife, Geesien, had left three years before him, and without them, the house became nothing more than a ghost ship. 👻⛵
A forgotten vessel adrift in time.

Since then, their home has remained untouched, locked in a family dispute over its future.
No one has claimed it, no one has removed its treasures—only time has begun to dismantle what was once a warm and thriving household. ⏳🏚️
Even now, as I walk through these rooms, I feel it. The weight of memories, of a life once lived.

This is more than just an abandoned house.
This is the last dock of a captain who never set sail again. 🏴‍☠️
And today, we step aboard his final voyage. 🚶‍♂️🌊

  1. I always find it very sad how family descends like vultures to fight over stuff left behind when we pass. The treasures left behind will continue to decay as the family fights over what was left. Soon there won't be anything left to fight over. So many wonderful things and a fantastic opportunity to learn about your country.
Was that you singing at the beginning of the video? Such a wonderful voice. So soothing and calming.
So bummed you got caught and had to bail so quickly. Thank you for this great exploration. I take it you did this several years ago. Fabulous! Cheers.

  2. I've been away for so long I've been very sick I've missed this channel very much and I can't wait to start watching you again maureno I'm stuck in bed so I'm rewatching all your shows ❤❤❤❤

  5. Just a wonderful video of this cozy Netherland home. I love it! I can say that I enjoyed this particular video more than any I've viewed in a while, and I really enjoy all of your adventures. Your intros make all the more difference I'm taken in by them immediately. This couple was definitely surrounded by all the things they cared about. Cozy is the word I too could imagine how nice this place felt all aglow with the lighting. You picked a ginger jar up and I own the very same one. They generally have a lid and can be valuable. This place was like an old sea goers' home that's what I liked as well. That is reflected in the way its decorated. I look past the items being scattered about. Maybe the family made an attempt to start boxing things up or older age often has that effect on some. My great grandmother's (she was in her 90s) basement was a Treasure trove she had a beautiful upstairs but chose to stay in the basement on the farm we called it and organized mess. I'd love to be there right now. This place reminded me of that. May the family settle their differences quickly that part makes me sad. Thank you Maureno and thanks to Desmond as well! Bravo'

  9. Hello, I couldn't help but hear Desmond say he didn't know what the steering wheel of the ship was called. It's called a helm In English. I remember the Hammers that you called for the game it is called croquet. We had that here in Canada. I remember that owl wind chime as a kid. We had one. Or maybe one of them was from Canada 🇨🇦 or maybe he fought in the war for Canada. Or against. I love the nautical theme.🛞⚓. I fine with family and big family. If things are not written down properly as far as where the house goes or money or things like that then it becomes a big fight with family and it really makes me sick to hear stuff like that Fighting over a home or possessions.😢 There was lots of lots of liquor In this house some on the main floor and some I think it was on the upper floor. Oh that's awesome that you know Leslie. I'm a follower of his as well. That is so cool! And I couldn't help but notice that you have a Canadian Goose jacket on that is awesome!🇨🇦 Thanks again for your exploration. That was awesome. I enjoyed it very much.

  11. Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?

  12. Thank you for the work you do! 🖤This was amazing 🖤I love all the history, like going back in time 🖤 So many cool things left; I do not understand people who fight over property & stuff either, it is a mystery to me. Thank for taking us along, happy you and your friends were safe in the end.

  13. Hola Explomo ❤
