  1. If you are in Ginza. Go to Ginza metro station. If you are looking for where to buy the Tokyo Subway 24/48/72-hour tickets att this station. Go down exit B6 and the Tokyo Metro Tourist information Counter is right there.

  2. Now that the JR Pass is not a good deal, we have made use of the Tokyo Subway Pass the last couple of times in Japan. It’s a great value at 1500 JPY for three days. It more than paid for itself. There are, of course, routes that are a little longer when you use the subways rather than the JR trains, but by the same token, some destinations are much easier to reach by subway. For example, the Tsukiji Outer Market requires a long walk to reach if you only use JR trains, but is quite close to a couple of subway stations.
