Why THIS Is the Best Norwegian Cruise You’ll Ever Take!

THIS is the BEST Norwegian Cruise you’ll EVER take! We’ve done many, but this one is truly the best of all Norway cruises! And we’re here to show you exactly WHY we believe it.

Norwegian cruise line Hurtigruten recently invited us on a two-week adventure aboard their Signature Flagship MS Trollfjord, sailing up Norway’s rugged coastline to the remote Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, and with it, the last town on Earth before the North Pole—a place where polar bears roam freely!

We believe this extremely fun voyage is the ULTIMATE Norwegian coastal cruise. If you dream of exploring Norway but prefer breathtaking fjords over bustling cruise crowds, this voyage is definitely for you. Expect untouched landscapes, off-the-radar gems, and the kind of wild beauty that most travellers never get to see. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the food. There are 370 cruise ships worldwide, and we believe this ship has the best restaurant out of ALL of them. That’s right – ALL of them. Don’t believe us? We’re gonna show you.

This is no ordinary Norwegian voyage. After watching, you might never look at a “regular” Norway cruise the same way again.

  1. Having done a similar cruise twice on Viking this video brings back some very pleasant memories. For those who are thinking about a trip like this it’s worth the money and time.

  3. Well I can't wait for part two!!! I live in Maine, in the US, and I grew up on the coast, and in my opinion, Maine has some of the most beautiful little islands I've ever seen, but man, Traena can put the Maine islands to shame!!! I wish I had the money and the time to do the full two week roundtrip. Maybe someday!!

  4. That incredibly chill Scandinavian terminal makes one wish they brought back the OG post-Art Deco Ocean Terminal in Southampton in the RMS Queen Elizabeth days to return the charm that reflects the British grandeur of the classic liners. And, you know, swish back up the atmosphere, but in a chill British chill way that reflects this Norwegian cruise terminal (despite it being a MUCH larger and more mainstream port, of course). Never seen anything like it. To take care of your safety briefing BEFORE you even board the ship!?

And on that note, I think our contemporary perception of what makes a ship BIG has been so hyperpigmented that it's oddly surprising to BE oddly surprised at the impressive size of the MS Trollfjord. Like. Look at that sprawling atrium! They updated her so beautifully. Nice I don't have to say that about all the picturesque sights of Norway, though. Can't get more comprehensive of a guide than this video. And do appreciate your breaking of the fourth wall when casually mentioning the classic YT thing of placing camera on the ground while walking away from it. Made my day.

  5. Finally-someone who gives Slartibartfast, the fjord designer par excellence, the credit he deserves. Some decry the Norwegian coastline as being "too squiggly" but at least he "gave it a go!"

  6. We travelled on Hurtigruten for a few hours on a Great Rail northern lights trip. Sailed from Trondheim to Svolvar and had enough time for a meal in the a la carte restaurant. We all agree it is one of the best meals we have ever had, anywhere.

  7. Thank you for posting this! You really captured the scenery and made it look so inviting. We are doing the southern route in August and can't wait…

  8. Fixed lunch and dinner would be a problem for us, there's plenty of things we don't like. On Viking Ocean we end up on the Always Available options about half the time.

  9. Have to admit I started watching with scepticism having done the fortnight coastal cruise in 2022 and finding it to be the worst cruise ever with barely 20minutes in each port so not long enough for individual exploration meaning if you don't pay au$500+ per person per day you will not be able to get off the ship. It is a truely a spectacular part of the world but there is only so many mountains you can view from inside a ship(I went in Feb and staying on deck for two long was impossible). It is great to see they are starting to think more about guest experience than just making extra money on their ferry services. Their alternative itineraries and newly referred ships seem a far better option. It would be great though if you could let us know the cost of the excursions you went on as on my cruise you were looking at au$500per person per day for about 4hours. Hence why I couldn't get of in most ports not being on an excursion.

Have to agree though even on the older ships the food is incredible though the cost of Alcohol is eye watering au$30 for the cheapest glass of wine

  10. Your suite would have cost over $44,000 if you had to pay for it. I was on this trip last year and a normal outside cabin was $9000 for us. You also had the best food in your dinning room. The regular restaurant was good but nothing great. As a side note, I’m will be staying in one of the casino areas cabins next month on the Coral Princess….looking forward to it.

  11. During one of your live events (ages ago), I remember asking if you and Helen had traveled with Hurtigruten. At that time, of course, you hadn't. Naturally, I'm thrilled to follow your Hurtigruten adventures. The line is on my bucket list. Also, nice nod to R.E.M. 😅

  12. Very well done video and editing skills were excellent. Question ? Your suite is listed at 37,000 Euros for two -people reserved For May 26 cruise, Is it worth it with your own money compared options to other travel

  13. I just love you guys. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy travel when we can’t leave home. I hope you enjoy every minute of your blessed lives!!

  14. Love your video. It always amuses me that foreigners believe Norway is freezing cold, even in summer. The gulf stream keeps us quite warm. Actually, in Bergen, where I live, we don't really have winter. Perhaps a couple of weeks of snow and that's pretty much it. Anyways, really nice to watch your trip. Hopefully you'll be able to visit us again 🙂

  15. Every time your videos come up it makes me happy, they are so relaxing and with such good vibes. Thank you both for showing us in such detail all these wonderful places.

  16. Well that was very pleasant to watch indeed – I'll dip into the next one now. Norway is rapidly becoming a must do – many of my YouTubers have been there this year doing all sorts of things – there's really something for everyone.

  17. We dont realy care how you pronounce names and places. What we care about is that when you use our beautiful nature is that you bring your trash back home ore use the trash cans.
