  1. Amber it is difficult to do this but it was the best for Delilah, you had me quite emotional because I hear you and I have experienced the same emotions with pets in my life and it is always hard to deal with. She will get love and a companion and snow and a yard to play in
and she will be happy. She won’t ever forget her love for you and will be happy when you get her back again. You did the Best for her Amber , so be Happy for her!!!

  2. Amber,
I'm so sorry. This must be so hard for you. You two are an inseparable team. Please think about getting her back. You need her and she needs you. Sailing the Pacific is not worth it if it sacrifices your mental health. This will slowly eat away at you.
I am sure your husband will support you getting her back. Just sail the Atlantic if you have too. Or live on land for a while. Who cares about the Pacific. You don't have to prove anything to anyone. Life is too short to be miserable.

  3. When you have a dog he or she is not just a pet but a member of your family. So it is understandable how difficult it was for you….but you will see her again and she is in good hands. All the best.

  4. OMG 😳, Amberā€¼ļø What a sad story yet sooooooo full of love. It is what brings me (us) back every week to see that outpouring in many different ways. Happy your Delilah buddy is in a place, though temporary, that she is lord and has a buddy to romp with. Tough yet a wonderful for your pet choice……for a time. ā˜ŗļøā˜‘ļø See you next time. āœØšŸŒŠšŸ’Øāš“ļøā›µļøšŸļøšŸ‘™šŸŒžāœØ

  6. Yer killin' me! Made me cry thru the video. I love, love, love dogs. We currently have Golden Retriever #5 and #6. And our 6th is a one year old boy, Booker, which we adopted and while his puppy immaturity irks me sometimes, I can't imagine him not being one of our fur babies and a companion to our older Golden. He's about the same size as Delilah and full of energy like she is. Y'all are the best ones to know what you should do and it sounds to me like you made the right decision for her! Looking forward to your new videos and the video when you reunite with your baby girl! Stay safe!

  7. Perhaps we could get periodic video clips. Updating us on how Miss Delilah iis enjoying her new adventures!? I'd sure enjoy seeing how lil Miss is doing. As always thanx for sharing!

I agree it’s not fair to a dog to be stuck on a boat for long periods of time. She will not forget you, when you see her again she will go crazy when she sees you!

  9. Your in the Caribbean, the NEW gulf of America… i guess…why so soon, from Parlay Revival with dogs, sailing Doodles with dogs…just not understanding where the need to cut loose is… Sailing Nandji and Parlay did have some issues, the reunion VLOGS were pretty amazing… IDK…. as I sit here with my loving dog I am certain that it will be an empty hole in the soul. And YES, I know you did not make that decision lightly….Definently a sad set of waves I watched pass by tonight…. along with you no doubt

  10. Hi Amber! Sometimes in life hurts a lot do the right thing… but for smart people, it’s necessary when times came ! Was the best decision for Delilah and you both. Have my respect for that. You gone miss her a lot! But that’s life! Loved the video and for people like me that loves dogs.. I will miss it too!

  12. I have wondered about some of these issues. I knew there were potential problems and it is so good of you to describe in such detail the reasons as well as what and why you made the decisions you have made. I have sailed for about 50 years but only had a dog on short distance sailing within U.S. waters. Longer crossings have never included a dog but this clip helps makes decisions that need to be made. You guys are fun to watch and follow for all the rest, too.

  13. That’s just BS! If my dogs aren’t welcome neither is my šŸ’°. A dog will put up with whatever it has to be with their family, Wrong decision in my opinion.

  14. No one can ever truly fathom the depths of what you have endured, nor fully grasp the emotions you have poured into your words—unless they have known the unbreakable bond with a dog. To those who have never felt it, it may seem like mere sentiment, a fleeting attachment. But to those who have, it is a love so fierce, so profound, that it defies all explanation.
Dare I say it—this love can feel even more intense, even more powerful than the love for one’s own child. And I do not say this lightly. I have three wonderful children, and God alone knows the infinite love I carry for them. Yet the connection with a dog is something else entirely—it is raw, pure, unspoken, and eternal.
Thank you for opening your heart and sharing your deepest feelings for your beloved companion…..best wishes from Zürich Switzerland.

  15. So glad she’s safe and with your loving family. I feared the worst watching your teaser. I lost my 11yo Bassett Wilbur a week ago today, so I totally feel your loss.

  16. Wow!!! Sure glad you said up front this isn’t all doom and gloom! I was already beginning to tear up🄲thinking she may have a terminal disease! We to are big fur babies lovers and have experienced over past 5 years 3 of our babies crossed the rainbow. We now have another sweet loving Yorkie, Millie! She loves watching TV and will bark at fur babies. So happy ya will soon be reunited! We enjoy all your videos and sharing your life journey one wave at a time! Loved all the still pictures you posted with your sweet loving beautiful babyā¤ļø

  17. Bummer on leaving your pup on land, but yeah, you made the right decision! Hey, I have a question for you guys, what are the gloves you'd recommend for when you are working with your lijes and such to keep the salt water and crud off your hands?

  18. Delia will slowly die missing her two legged love. She would not send you off, her commitment to you is unconditional. You will regret doing this when she passes as every minute with your pup is a blessing and remember there are no do overs. Stay with her till that day when she passes, like another commented ā€œif my dog can’t go then I don’t goā€. Go cruise where Delia an go with you, life is short.

  19. Simple, that face does it to you or you don’t have a heart ā¤ļø You two are such good responsible pup parents to know that what you are doing is the right thing to do. ā¤ļøšŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

  20. Aweeee Amber honey I’m so sorry your hurting!! Just always know you’ve made the right decision!! She will there waiting with open paws when you get back to her!! I’m crying with you!! Bless your heart!! Stay safe!!ā¤ļøā¤ļø
