Overall, I think Thailand is still the best value for money destination to start trip. The landscape is beautiful and diverse, the transportation is convenient.

I have about all the John Wayne movies. Also you should try the San Juan mountains of south western colorado. I have taken my jeep over most of the trails and they are beautiful. July through early October is the only time due to snow. But I would do it in September as there is less traffic. If you do hit me up. I live close and like to go there. Ridgeway and ouray and the area around is the sight of one of the most famous John way movies True Grit. That country is the most beautiful in the west in believe.
