The castle prison was set up in the substructure of the stair tower when it was built in (the year) 1611.
The dungeon remained in its original state with the chain rings on the walls, even after the tower was demolished.
It was uncovered during exvacations in 1976.

It was a fantastic day with you in Otterndorf and Bad Bederkesa. The word "Bad" before Bederkesa means that it was declared a health resort, a climatic health resort and holiday resort. In the summer it is a popular destination for boat ⛵ trips on the lake and on the Geesteriver , the Geesteriver leads to Bremerhaven. You can also rent houseboats right here on the lake and when the restaurant is open, you can get your beloved spaghetti ice cream 🍨here! 😉😆
