Let's be completely and utterly honest. The only people associated with that term is so-called blk American males. If you're not trying to single out a certain group of people, just use terms like disrespectful or unruly people. Also, we are no longer in the Stone Age anymore. Anyone with a halfway decent internet connection knows about Vietnam, so it's not a secret travel location .

Vietnam doesn't need foreigners. Unlike places like Thailand who will let anyone in and it has ruined that country.
Loved my short time in Vietnam but it was definitely not like other SEA countries in a good way.
I've been to Bangkok, Pattaya, Tokyo, Rome, Paris(I'm from Medellin but live in Los Angeles) and I've never run into a pookie. I'm in my early 50's and everytime I've run into another POC they've been well mannered, helpful and friendly. This includes the few young bucks I've run into. I goto the nice spots and a few less-then-classy spots(for educational purposes obviously) and never seen a POC acting a fool. I see the Aussies and Brits showing out but thats it. I'm waiting on my e-visa for the 'Nam as I type this. Who else always eats at "KISS" on 2nd Road when visiting Pattaya? I will go there after my tour of duty in the 'Nam. Dreaming about that Cashew Chicken Nut.

Be careful of the pre-entry Visa scam on the computer… It would not let me enter the letter and then the number… Only the number…. Still got approved he's wrong they don't check anything it is just a fee scam…. When I got there they told me I could get sent back unless I paid a $100 fine then it went to $150… Now I knew where I was…. Made friends with a cool Vietnamese guy that was working for the military doing the shakedowns.. Don't get mad don't act like an asshole…. So I figured I had a good thing here…. I asked him can you get me any type of passport approval any type of Visa and he said yes…. He said a work visa would be a little harder… But he works for the military that calls the shots… So I got his WhatsApp… I don't even have to make border runs…. Far as drugs go.. Met one of the big gangs in hoi an and they told me even if I got caught with weed no tattoos they're going to give you a warning and maybe pay the police… I didn't need it that bad… But drugs are available.. But you must keep it quiet and out of sight… But the video is right about one thing don't be loud don't be an asshole be polite it's not your country…. Even if they do stupid things… Still is not your country… Vietnam is very corrupt and it is communist… So if you have a problem with corruption and don't know how to deal with it like Mexico do not go there… And if you're looking for a lot of prostitutes and marijuana go to Pattaya Thailand…. The police are corrupt there too… But you have to be a real a hole..
To get in trouble there.. They screw a lot of innocent people in the airport.. I came in on a red-eye flight they were picking people out like chickens to F with them… And shake them down for money… I would not recommend going in on a late night flight the last flight of the evening .. I will not say the beach town… Because I have friends on the inside now… So this is why it is very good to be very cool and make friends with the locals…. Because there are places in Vietnam you don't want to end up..

Stay home and build your own neighborhood, civilize your own crib and culture. Dont run away to risky places on a dumb ass dream. You wont ever get real respect from folks who aint your own kind. They polite to your face but its only to get all yo money. They dont like you. So many guys get wiped out chasing asian illusions.
