I wish you enjoyed your visit to our country specially el jem and other sites. Railfan From Tunisia 🇹🇳
The garbage along the tracks reminds me of India!!
Tunisia is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the video.
Those look like old EX FS and SNCB eurofima coaches.
Horrible express
Le train de algérien
When I was in Sousse back in the 90's, the trains looked better than this. Dont think I'd ever want to go back to Tunisia.. Sousse & nearby Port El Kantaoui were ok but not anywhere I'd want to revisit.
Beautiful vlog
I don’t know why people go to Tunisia really , a broke country a non functioning government, half of the nation are beggars , horrible roads and rail and infrastructure… man this is expected and nothing new .. literally they have no dime to buy new trains or maintenance the existing ones , thank god you made it safely out of there , Tunisia is a very dangerous unstable country .
I'm a Tunisian student and I always travel by train between my hometown and where I study.
Q: Is there something wrong with our trains?
A: Say what isn't wrong with them
Q: Do they get you from point A to point B in time?
A: Point A to point B yes, in time absolutely not.
Q: Do they need an upgrade?
A: Isn't that obvious?
Q: Do they get the job done?
A: Absolutely
You can get a taxi or cab if you want. Trains and public transport are not for tourists; most people here don't take trains, as it is the least-cared-for transport means. Also, the train fare is almost nothing, and there is no difference between first and second class—a maximum of $1 for long distances. I don't know why tourists insist on taking the train when most locals avoid it. Next time, take a taxi.
-Goes to a third world, Muslim country in Africa
-Surprised the trains are shit
Forget Tunisia and all other countries in North Africa. Dirty, caotic, dangerous…. After some negative experiences there: NEVER MORE!!
Це жахливо!
lol , most tunisians don't even use train
Why These Euorpeans especailly these BRITISHER who build there country by Looting INDIA and Africa would have to travel on Trains and make judgement on the Infastructure , Dude if you want Luxury then visit only Developed Countries but I know the YouTubers from Developed Countries needs Poverty and Slums of India and Africa to feed their stomach. I see lot of Western Vloggers coming to INDIA and directly shovng there NOSE on Slums and Garbages for Veiws and Likes 😂😂.. I'm happy that Indian Poverty and slums are still feeding the STOMACH of Western PUNKS . All The Best SON of Thief and INDIA Officaily on 2015 STOPED BRITISH AID..
Hello, I'm a Tunisian and this is my first time watching your vlogs. I agree with most of your observations, especially regarding the train services for long distances they can be quite challenging. However, if you were to document the metro system in the capital, you'd find significant improvements. We're a country in progress, continually working to address our issues, and new trains are expected to arrive soon. I took a glance at the comments and was disheartened by the hate speech. While I understand this is your channel and you have creative freedom, I feel your portrayal might have given a somewhat skewed image of our country to global viewers. Despite not being as developed, Tunisia has a wealth of unique experiences to offer. Beyond trains, there's a plethora of exciting content to explore and share. Perhaps consider showcasing our metro system or other aspects of Tunisian culture?
KAI quite better than this
I travelled around Tunisia by train in late 2023 and your description is very accurate. Trains were old, run-down and downright filthy, on average the trains were +2 hours delayed! I was quite impressed by how calmly the locals took it, but I guess they are used to it! :I
Try Indian railways .. your idea will change , ,Delhi Bihar route specially..
God. Rubbish and filth everywhere. Africa in general I'm afraid. Independence did wonders for the country didn't it.
Si è fortunati se si sopravvive ad un viaggio nei paesi islamici
Haha, hidden Easter Egg is the number plate of your EMD (0564) loco : it strikes a "91" which according to UIC regulations, it is allocated to electric locomotives (which is not the case here). I thought that Romanians are stupid and cannot tell a 91 (electric) to a 92 (diesel) loco when having UIC12 numbering applied at a larger scale 😂
شكرا فرنسا على السكك في تونس الباقي كله كلام فارغ
Very bad train for a touristic route. Could be better like trains from Lisbon to Porto for example.
did the trip from Sousse to El Jem exactly 17 years ago, I don't think anyone has cleaned the toilets since…but we ended up with a fight on our trip between the food trolley person and a passenger! I used my broken French to explain to the guard there was a little war between two people at the back! Also in el Jem there is an incredible Roman villa, when we got there, a older man turned up and turned out he was one of the original archaeologists that helped find it, he gave us an amazing tour, again in French, but we managed..an amazing place for sure….But doubt we will get to go back…and oh yes possibly the worst train trip ever, but wouldn't have missed it for anything!
Ici au Maroc c'est quelque chose d'autre sa develope chaque jour
Why yes, I'd be sure to get all of my shots before visiting. Cleanliness doesn't appear to be a priority. I guess there is a stereotype of "Third World Nations" for a reason. Not to be a "First World" snob, but it seems like there are so many basic improvements in these stations which could be easily performed. I admit it. I don't travel internationally. But I just don't understand what my eyes are seeing economically as well as culturally. As pointed out below, this certainly makes Amtrak (yes, Amtrak) look especially grand. Thanks for the video and the education.
