Escaping the Floods in Spain | Rainy Days in Our Cosy Campervan

Join us as we escape the severe floods in southern Spain and travel to the misty mountains to find refuge. This week, heavy rains have kept us tucked away in our tiny home on wheels, so we’ve been living at an extra slow pace, reading, cooking cosy meals, and venturing into the wilderness whenever the downpours briefly paused.

If you love slow travel, off-grid living, and the folklore hidden in Europe’s landscapes, make sure to subscribe and join us on the journey! 🧡

  1. Hi!!! Really cool channel! Thanks! Ignore if you already answered since I haven't watched all the videos yet but how do you do for the electricity?

  2. I really enjoyed being in this spot to wait out the storm. It was a beautiful place, and we really got off lightly. Well… The rain was heavy but we didn't have to test Bilbo's amphibious abilities.

  3. You guys are one of my absolute favorite van lifers–your home is a cozy little cottagecore hobbit hole and I love it. It has definitely inspired me to look into this as a lifestyle. I would love to hear a bit more about the van build itself (how you guys did this) and a tattoo tour because yours look so cool!

  4. Can I just give some gentle feedback.
The filter that you’re using on your videos is too intense, I watch other YouTubers who use filters and it’s more gentle and just adds to the ambiance of the videos, whereas I feel like the filter you use takes away from it.
Even when it’s clearly a sunny day it’s making your videos seem dreary and dull and for me personally it’s off putting.
I don’t mean this to be critical, I do enjoy your videos and I wish you a successful career on YouTube.

  5. So glad you were both safe in the hills. I can only imagine how it feels to be 'stuck' indoors while it rains and rains. Makes going out with the wee shovel very difficult 😕. Hearing the folklore is wonderful. It really is nice being read to. Your voice suits this for sure. See you next week. 🌻🧡🌻

  6. Hello! would love a Q&A: Are there any other van lifers that inspire you? Any other countries that are calling out to you to tour? Thank you

  7. I think I met you at a climate protest a long time ago! And now it seems we both live a similar lifestyle, I also live in a van and spend wintertime in Spain 😀 So my question for a future Q&A would be, how do you deal with any guilt you might feel on relying on fossil fuels to travel?

  8. Another lovely vlog and I continue to enjoy listening to folklore tales. The gap between coziness and going stir crazy is a small one! I loved the woods and the ever increasing signs of spring. I could almost taste the fresh air!
So, onto a question for the Q&A: would you guys consider a longer adventure into Asia or Africa? If so where would you like to go?

  9. Hi! It’s lovely to watch you enjoying the Spanish forests (even when it’s raining!). If you don’t know where to go next, may I suggest visiting the north of Spain (Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, or the Basque Country)? I think you’d find it really magical— the forests are completely different from the south, and right now, it’s not too cold (though it’s also rainy).

In particular, Galicia has several places a Lord of the Rings fan might enjoy, like a Shire-inspired resort called "Mi Tesoro" (in Viveiro) and the most magical restaurant called "Fogar de Breogán" (in Lalín).

And my question for you is this: How do you and your partner manage to have your own space in such a tiny area— especially on rainy days? What happens if, for example, Jessica wants to stay in bed, but Risi wants to set up the table? Do you have an agreement, or are you both more “bed people”?

    Warm hugs from Galicia!
    Nana 💚🍂

  10. Good evening, how do you guys celebrate the Spring Equinox/Ostara, we're very excited for this next sabbat, my daughter and I and of course our kitty cat Dustin , just received our complete Peter Rabbit library, we also love reading, we are big kids at heart 😊we love all your videos, it brings a smile to our hearts 😊❤ please keep on posting ❤

  11. Lovely content. Glad y’all are safe. Thanks for sharing. How do you manage moisture inside? Also, how much do generate and how do you dispose of your gray water in the woods?

  12. Hi, I found your channel yesterday and try to get thorough all your videos as a new subscriber. Your life style is so fantastic! Love it!💜
I have a question about Heidi: how are you dealing with muddy paws in van and bed? When you drive a long distance, do you make breaks so that she can run a bit? She is very cute, please give her a cuddle from me! 💜
    Wishing you all the best!🍀🍄🍀

  13. Heloo, loved this video a lot! The music choice is impeccable 😊, so a question for the QnA, i know i asked this previously also, but why did you choose a Citroen Relay
    2) What do you guys do for a living?
    3) And lastly if this isnt too personal, how much do you spend in an average day?
    4) Did you ever feel like getting a bus instead of a van?
I would be forever grateful if some of my questions could be answered, your my favorite channel, (as you can probably see by me commenting on ever video of yours) Thanks, cyaaa

  14. For the Q&A: Where did you guys get your beautiful wooden bowls/what kind of wood are the bowls made of? My partner and I are starting our micro-camper conversion this spring and these bowls look so great for multiple uses! This channel has been such a wonderful source of inspiration and just overall great vibes, thanks so much for putting such gorgeous videos out there 🧡🌿

  15. Question for your q&a…how do you keep your dog so clean? She always looks so clean. We have a springer spaniel and she is always filthy after a walk. How do you deal with it and keeping the van clean?? …great video again guys. One of my favourite channels xx

  16. Good to know you three are safe. I really am happy I found your YouTube channel. I love what you all have done to your van. It looks so warm, cozy, gypsy and bohemian vibe look. Heidi looks so adorable and cute. I just can’t wait to watch your other episodes and where the next chapter will take the three of you. Thanks so much for sharing. Keep safe and warm❤

  17. I love your channel and your beautiful life..
I would like if you could show us some of your books that you read..
I spied some in the video and have many similar ones❤..
Hope the rains will finish soon..
    I am from
Greece and we had very serious floods two years ago..
Sending you lots of love ❤

  18. Question 1: Jessica, you seem to own a lot of dresses and they are all so cute. May I know the material cause they look so comfortable for day-to-day wear and you even wear your dress for hiking

Question 2: How did you two meet and what conversation leads to the idea of living in a van?
