  1. Bedankt voor de mooie video weeral Kim en Naick. Er gaan wel wat kilootjes bijkomen vrees ik , smullen maar. Geniet er nog van, groetjes, Gilberte

  2. Please for the Love of Humanity …. Bavarian Food is NOT Typical German Food! to Claim that This is German Food is like somebody Claims that Texas Food is "American Style Food standard in the US" its Not but its the Same Approach you did here! TRAVEL in Germany! DO NOT Stay Stuck in Munich! The North is Different The East is Different the West is Different. Leave Bavaria enter the Next State North and you See it for Yourself that this is not "German" Food its Bavarian Food ONLY! You Found it in Some Tourist traps everywhere but only because people like you Expect to Find that Shit everywhere. If you want to get a Taste of German Food Bavarian is NOT the State to Start. Start in Hamburg or in Cologne or Berlin. And Eat Regional Food not Tourist Trap Crap. Only then you are Capable to claim you Know something About German Food. Sorry For my Rage but Videos like this are Always Recommend by YT but end up as a Copy Paste Standard US Food Video… i am Sick of it.

  3. There are two philosophies in Germany regarding potato salad. One faction prefers the version with mayonnaise (mainly northern Germany) and the faction without mayonnaise (southern Germany)

  4. Hey, (German Granny here)
very nice video and your pronounciation of the German food names was very close to perfect.
To help you understand the difference between "Brötchen" and "Semmel": There is no difference in the item, it is just in the name. "Semmel" is the Bavarian word for the formal German "Brötchen", in some parts of Germany it would go by the name of "Weckle". In and around Berlin it would be a "Schrippe". And so on. 😉
About the potato salad without mayo: It is not true that in entire Germany it is the same. There are lots of recipes for "Kartoffel Salat" in Germany. Some with, some without mayo. Like you also mentioned at the beginning of your video, "typical foods" vary around the country depending on the region you're in. And so do the names of identical foods.
    Greetings from Germany!

  5. The food in Germany is just SO GOOD. We need to spend some more time to Munich to eat all the things! The weisswurst and pretzel breakfast combo is one of our favorite breakfasts in the world – the sweet mustard if a MUST. Great video guys!

  6. What are you telling people about Kebab in Germany? Sure if you go to a crap shop you get crap, but a Döner is NOT served in German Bread, it is served in Pita, which is a Turkish/Arab bread. It is NOT beef it is veal or venison. Some will offer Chicken, too.

  7. Es finden sich immer Österreicher in einem Video über Deutschland, die laut aufschreien, wenn ihr Minderwertigkeitskomplex sich meldet, dass muss man ihnen verzeihen. 😅

  8. it's always nice to see people from other countries enjoying our food. the german "cuisine" is very stable, healthy and tasty, i think. everytime while guys from other countries want the same: german beer and german food 😂. your video was very nice, and the ali in münchen was for me a new player, didn't knew him😅

  9. When you come closer to the north, you will find poatoe salads with mayo. The vinegar one are more from South Germany. And yes, Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn are from Austria. But hey, it's delicious

  10. Pork knuckle (Haxen) is not marinated for several days! That's what you do with sauerbraten!
Pork knuckle is often cooked first and then grilled! Sometimes it is also grilled directly!

  11. Kaiserschmarn is Austrian… Obazter is made from Camembert not Brie, Käsespätzla are not made with a cheese sauce. To make them you go in layers… 1 layer Spätzla, 1 layer cheese, 1 layer spätzla, 1 layer cheese etc. The Noodles are hot and this what's the cheese causes melting… there is no sauce ^^ tatare is not german by any means…. LUL you guys refer to Mett or Zwiebelwurst which is a kind of raw Pork… but; onions are antiseptic so back in the day they used onions to make meat lasting… like with salt ^^

  12. Not all potato salads are vinegar based. In northern Germany mayonnaise in potato salad is very common. My German mom never made any vinegar based salad.

  13. Kaiserschmarren ist from Austria. Its not a Geman Meal or Dessert. Bratwurst. I see some Nürnberger. The others looks like Krakauer withe and without Cheese. You know wherer Krakau is located? A Butschers Plate here at my Place it called: Farmers Plate and it is very different to that Plate. And at some Restaurants it´s served with a selfe made Bread. Bavariens don´t make the best Spätzle. They are good, but not the Best 😉

  14. Kaiserschmarrn is an Austrian Dish, not a German! Like most tourists, you mistake Bavaria for Germany. Germany has so much more to offer than just the stereotypical Bavarian food, Lederhosen, and "oompah music!

  15. Great video! I’m pretty sure I ate at the first tavern you showed in your video when I visited Munich in 2014. The food was very good. I remember it was very close to the large cathedral and not too far from the Marienplatz. I also ate some pastries from some of the street vendors. Everything I had was really good. It was May when I visited, but it was unseasonably cold during my visit so instead of drinking beer I stuck mainly to coffee and hot tea. Your video made me realize I want to go back for another visit. Maybe for Oktoberfest.

It‘s not only ketchup that‘s in any currywurst sauce, a lot of ingredients such as applesauce, vinegar or cola are also part of it, making each wurst taste different at various locations.

  17. Hey you two… loving the videos and seeing all the great European food… we just need to go back. Are you going to Copenhagen? We would love to see what you get up to… We are planning that next fall (2026) as we have Vietnam and Cambodia next month and Mexico in November 😊…. Now question for you-are you still travelling and staying in Vinny…??? Take care and big hugs … Chris and Dan
