Annecy, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, is known as the Venice of the Alps (la Venise des Alpes in French). Pastel coloured buildings, romantic canals, beautiful lake and charming cobbled streets make Annecy one of the best destinations in France.
