How many days would you recommend, so that you can visit all the hotspots ?
The Frauenkirche should have been left in its destroyed condition. It had a much better effect as a memorial to the stupidity of nationalism and war in its form of rubble with trees growing out of it as was seen just after the Wall came down than as just another overblown monument to sky fairies. They are a dime a dozen in Europe as they are anywhere in the world. The Museums in Dresden are certainly worth a visit though as is the scenery of the Saxon Switzerland area along the Elbe Valley south of the city.

Gorgeous town. Spend a few days.
