Beginning of our American adventure: Food, History and furry friends!
This episode kicks off with an exciting arrival in Washington D.C., after a great nights sleep the next morning we dive into the local food scene with our first authentic American breakfast at the vibrant Union Market! Fuelled and ready, we embark on an epic walking tour, exploring all the iconic sights and historical landmarks that make D.C. so captivating. We also take a moment to reflect and learn at the powerful National Museum of the American Indian, a must-see for anyone interested in American history and culture. ๐๏ธ๐ณ
Next, we board an Amtrak train, heading south to the charming city of Roanoke, Virginia. The stunning Roanoke Star, perched high above the city, offers breathtaking panoramic views. We also enjoy a beautiful hike, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the area. ๐โจ
We relax in Roanoke for a while, then hit the open road for a scenic drive along the legendary Blue Ridge Parkway, winding through majestic mountains and lush forests. The views are simply unforgettable! ๐๐ฒ
Back at our temporary home, we take on the delightful task of dog-sitting two adorable dogs: the gentle giant Great Dane, Reggie, and the tiny but spirited T-cup Yorkie, Dobbie. Get ready for some heartwarming and hilarious moments! ๐พ๐ถ
Our journey continues with a scenic drive back up to Putnam Valley, NY, where we make a special stop at the historic West Point. We delve into the rich history of this prestigious military academy and get a unique glimpse into the lives of its cadets. ๐๐๏ธ
Finally, we wrap up our adventure with anticipation, eagerly awaiting our trusting motorhome/RV, Walter’s arrival in Baltimore. Stay tuned for the heartwarming reunion! ๐

We fly into New York wish we done Washington now but we are hiring a car for two weeks and going to do Maine area! And maybe the Falls!!
