After an epic journey from the Siwa Oasis, I finally arrived in Alexandria! My first stop was the beautiful Alexandria beach, which reminded me of Mumbai’s Marine Drive. The Mediterranean breeze was refreshing as I soaked in the city’s coastal vibes.
Next, I visited the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of the largest and most stunning libraries in the world, a true treasure trove of history and knowledge. After that, I grabbed some delicious shawarma from a local spot—probably one of the best street food experiences in Egypt!
While navigating the city, I met an amazing local woman who helped me find the right bus—one of those wholesome travel moments that remind me why I love backpacking. Finally, I explored the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an eerie yet fascinating underground world filled with ancient tombs and secrets.
