Cotroceni Palace is the seat of the Romanian Presidency, but its rich history spans centuries. The history of Cotroceni Palace begins in 1679, when Prince Șerban Cantacuzino founded a monastery on Cotroceni Hill. The church and monastic annexes were built in just two years. In the 19th century, Cotroceni Monastery was used as a summer royal residence. Later, Prince Carol I chose to build a palace within the monastery grounds, intended for the heirs of the Crown. Architect Paul Gottereau designed the palace’s plans in the Venetian classical style, and construction began in 1888. Cotroceni Palace was constructed between 1893 and 1895 on the site of the old royal houses. Princess Maria of Romania and Prince Ferdinand of Romania moved to Cotroceni in March 1896. Subsequently, architect Grigore Cerchez reconceived the northern wing in the national romantic style, adding a large hall and two colonnaded verandas, one of which was a replica of the famous veranda from Hurezi Monastery.

Ciao Dante oggi non ti posso raccontare nessuna storia perché a Bucharest non ci sono mai andata, la sto conoscendo adesso attraverso i tuoi video e le tue spiegazioni e come ti ho già detto non immaginavo fosse così bella e sontuosa come questo palazzo Cruciani che è bellissimo come i suoi giardini molto curati e pieni di fiori che tu naturalmente hai ripreso e ci hai trasmesso. Molto simpatica la fontanella sorretta dagli angioletti e quell'albero grondante di fiori gialli che è una meraviglia. Ho letto la tua descrizione molto accurata, si vede che sei innamorato della tua città e ci tieni a farla conoscere a tutti, dai video si vede che ha lo stile classico dei paesi del nordest molto elaborati e pomposi come dovevano essere i governanti e gli architetti del periodo in cui sono stati costruiti. Ciao Dante, volevo chiederti se lavori ancora nel posto che ti dà da vivere e la pagnotta quotidiana o hai lasciato tutto e ti dedichi solamente al lavoro che ti appassiona tanto perché all'inizio mandavi i video la mattina e la sera e nel frattempo lavoravi mentre adesso trasmetti i video in orari che non conciliano con un lavoro regolare.
