Driving in Germany: Autobahn A45 E41 & A4, B54 from Lüdenscheid to Siegen

In this video you can ride along on Autobahn A45 E41, A4 & Bundesstraße B54 from Lüdenscheid to Siegen in central Germany. A few years ago the Rahmede viaduct at Lüdenscheid (A45) had to be closed because it had badly deteriorated. As a result, all A45 traffic now has to drive through Lüdenscheid to bypass the missing part of highway and then get back onto the A45 as seen in this video.

Recently the new Rahmede viaduct bridge deck was structurally connected. It’s currently still planned to re-open this part of the A45 in spring 2026. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
