  1. The problem I often encounter with my personal pack is weight.

Another tip I have is, when buying a suitcase or carry-on, always buy a backpack with wheels. You can load everything else onto it (duty free shopping,my laptop bag which is full of other technology, and my personal bag) and easily glide through the airport rather than staggering to your gate. Also, if you're travelling in places like Japan that does not have lifts at train stations, it's easy to hike those stairs with all your luggage on your back.

    Thanks for all your tips.

  2. Question, I'm traveling with my wife for the first time she has one of those mini bags (Smaller than a fanny pack) she was planning on wearing across her chest with her phone, license and other paperwork needed. Is this OK? Or should we look to just carry it in a vest pocket or something? Thank you

  3. 😎👍🇺🇲

Another thing that works great is heavy duty ziplock freezer bags. You squeeze all the air out and they're just about completely water proof. They're a good way to separate clean from dirty or wet swimming gear.
Sandwich bags work great for keeping paperwork dry or liquids separate. A 1000 and 1 uses.

  4. used personal item as my only luggage for 2 month trip to Europe .. I will say that it was stuffed full but I also had a foldable back pack and pocket vest … Moved the stuff from vest pockets and into that backpack for flight .

  5. Gosh I never heard of the term “gate lice” until this video. It sounds horrendous and offensive to me. So airlines are blaming customers for the rules they created????

  6. We fly both domestically and internationally pretty often. There seems to be an increase in people who don't understand where to place their bag, or rather which seat to place it under. You place your bag under the seat in front of you, not under your own seat like the guy in this video at 2:26. And if you're in the bulkhead you need to put it in the overhead. By placing your bag underneath your own seat it's taking the space meant for the person behind you.

  7. That gives me an idea for stickers on my check in luggage : " I hate gate Lice" " Get back in Queue and wait ya turn" " Im sick of impatient people "
