My name is Alexander. I’m the co-owner of a ONE Michelin star restaurant, and I’m on a mission – to find inspiration in gastronomy. I love fine dining, good wine and sharing what I know with other people.

  1. Most beautiful interior I have seen in Thailand 😆😆😆.
I guess most Thai people would say .." this is Nothing ".

Spend more time in Thailand. You will believe me.

  2. Quite a skill to review these places and not instil jealousy but rather an appreciation of the venues shown. A lot of people may get to experience a restaurant like this once or twice but your channel allows a vicarious experience of more.

  3. I was just here 5 days ago and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. For Alexander’s video to pop up right after, makes me reminisce fondly with almost every dish being the same. I’m ready to go back

  4. My family came here about a year ago. Everything was amazing , we tried to get another reservation but my dad’s assistant forgot about it , so unfortunately we didn’t haven’t had the chance to go again yet

  5. My mom and dad came to visit me from Japan and to celebrate Songkran, so we went there and boy, oh boy, it was worth it, definitely once per year for me. I don't really eat a lot of Southern Thai food that much, usually just Central Thai and Isan food because they are so good and honestly, for me, it's better than Japanese food but that doesn't really saying much because they're both extremely good, it's just that Thai food is slightly overall better.

  6. I am sooooooo happy they kept the sharing experience. As thai people, we never ever eat like western people ordering plate for each one, we always order bunch of food and share it together. That is they key of thai food experience, and so glad chef Ice decide to keep it even if he was aiming 3 stars

  7. THB 44,929.30 for two people including wines. It probably goes without saying but I'll say it anyway. Don't go to this restaurant hungry unless you have a very large budget. It's all about taste sensations, that very brief period when food slips past your tongue. This is what this, and other fine dining restaurants are all about.

  8. Thailand's only? Probably because they (Miclellin) have the same yardsticks, without considering cooking cultures and its vagaries. For example, this "medium rare" or "pinkishness" in meat, which is how they win Masterchef finales in the West, is simply considered gross in some other cultures. For them, meat needs to be cooked, else you are eating it alive and then, what happened to evolution from hunter-gatherers to civilization?

  9. Not sure how much news this is outside the Netherlands and unrelated to this specific video, but Jonnie Boer passed away chef of De Librije. May he rest in peace.

  10. Alex that red from Piedmont that you described as smelling and tasting like lemon yogurt, was it Nebbiolo or a different varietal? I would guess different as I've never had Nebbiolo with those characteristics. Love the SGN from Zind Humbrecht. My favorite producer in Alsace. Amazing meal. Unreal presentation.

  11. As a Thai, we have a saying that about dessert “not too sweet. It’s a complimentary to the dessert. At least in Thailand. Because making a sweet dessert is easy but balancing the taste with mild sweet is the goal.
