Is the Palace of Versailles Worth It? 👑 Our Family’s Magical Tour ✨

Hi guys, welcome back to our channel. Today our family is at the Palace of Versailles. We’re going to show you the tour here and just the full experience of coming to the Palace of Versailles and what it’s like to come with kids. Okay, here is the parking lot. There’s a lot of room and it’s right next to the palace. So, you are able to park, grab your ticket, and walk right in. [Music] Wow. All right, we have just gone through security. We have scanned our tickets. We are going in. We did buy tickets ahead of time. It was roughly $70 for our family, two adults, two kids. And because we bought them ahead of time and came during our scheduled time, we didn’t have to wait in a very long line. So, I would definitely suggest doing that. Oh my goodness. Okay, the statue I’m about to show you is called Horses of the Sun Drinking from 1678. Oh my goodness. Wow. This is the Royal Chapel. Oh, incredible. Look at that ceiling. Wow. Even the details on the door. Wow. Oh my goodness. The size of this. So gigantic. The biggest painting I’ve ever seen in my life. Okay, this room has the princess’s portraits. This is the second level of the chapel, the balcony level. [Music] Okay, this is the Venus room, main entrance of the grand apartment in the reign of King Louie. For evening receptions, tables were set up with silver bowls holding fresh fruit and crystallized fruits. Oh my goodness. Wow. Just room after room of portraits, paintings, sculptures. All right, you guys. We are officially in King Louis bed chamber. [Music] Wow. This is the throne room. All right, entering into the hall of mirrors. Oh my goodness. This is [Music] incredible. Okay, we have the council study. On different days, the king presided over the various councils with his ministers as well as granting audiences and receiving oaths of loyalty. This is Louis the 14th’s bedroom. [Music] All right, we have entered into Marie Antuinette’s room. Look how beautiful that is. Even in the reflection of the mirror, the white, the gold. It has such a different feeling, I feel like, than so many of the other rooms here. All the florals, the elegance. Look at this portrait of Maria and Twinette and her children. Wow. It’s so crazy being here and being like, this is the actual painting and this is where she lived. It’s just amazing to see. [Music] Okay, this is now officially the biggest painting I’ve ever seen in my life. This room is the Gallery of the Battles. Oh my gosh. I I can’t quite do it justice like the size. Oh my goodness. All right, we have a painting of Napoleon. Now entering into the gallery of the battles. It’s hard to convey on video just the size and experience of being here because it just doesn’t quite capture like the grandeur of of how gigantic and the amount of paintings and history. Oh my goodness. Look at this painting of Jeonavar Le. Wow. 1429. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. All right, you guys. Look what we found in here. Some American history in here. The Battle of Yorktown. Wow. And this is all still on the second level. The amount of time that you could spend here, even in here with every single statue that we’re passing, just the endless amount of [Music] history. All right, that kind of flew by for me, but apparently we spent about 2 hours upstairs and we are headed out into the garden now. All right, so we are out. We had tickets that were part of our uh museum tickets and what we read online was we thought that the kids are free to come in. So that was our plan. Um, but apparently our tickets worked for Kellen and I, but we had to purchase separately tickets for the girls about $10 each. And that’s fine. Just something to be aware of. You know, even on the website it says kids are free. They said it’s six and under. Oh my goodness. This fountain is bigger than any swimming pool. Wow. You can rent bikes to go around. I mean, the gardens are just so massive. Look, it just stretches on and on and on. Wow. Incredible. Okay, so we just walked down there. Now we are walking into this section. Oh my goodness. So, we’re here in early spring, and I was a little worried how cold it would be, but the sun is shining. I love that they have like classical music playing, too. Wow. So, yeah, you can rent a golf cart and drive around if you wanted to tour that way. Okay, we are walking up to Apollo’s Fountain. Woo! And beyond that is a whole other lake with with boats and kayaks. [Music] All right, we just walked out. Thanks for joining us on today’s visit to the Palace of Versailles. We’ll see you guys on another video very soon. Byebye. [Music]
