Walking in Hamburg #germany Historical buildings tour – 4K
This is a special tour to find beautiful subjects for photo shoots, beyond the usual tourist routes.
00:00 Intro escalator scene
02:21 We start at the Messsehallen subway station (Exit Sievekingsplatz),
03:06 then walk across Sievekingplatz, past a memorial against fascism
07:07 and continue to see a sculpture of Wilhelm I, a German emperor.
10:07 We walk across Johannes-Brahms-Platz and see bronze sculptures on a house wall.
11:46 Then we turn into the Pilatuspool and see a huge bronze elephant on a house wall.
14:13 We continue straight ahead, and are not surprised, but the street name changes to “Hütten”.
14:48 We walk along this lovely street and see employees of a film crew talking to a crow.
17:17 Then comes Peterstraße, a jewel.
17:52 The Composers’ Quarter is a private museum ensemble in Hamburg.
19:30 We turn left through Peterstraße and turn right into Neanderstraße.
22:13 We move towards the famous beautiful St. Michael’s Church,
23:50 but be careful: Martin Luther observes us as a monument from a pedestal.
26:15 We walk around “the Michel” and turn left into Krayenkamp.
27:05 Krayenkamp house number 10,
27:25 “Krameramtsstuben” 400-year-old half-timbered ensemble from 1620, . You have to see it!
29:27 go back to the Krayenkamp and cross a beautiful old building, over the Thielickestieg.
30:34 Continue straight ahead along Anberg Street
31:25 and then turn left into Pasmannstraße,
32:29 then right into Herrengraben,
33:03 then left over the Schaarsteinweg bridge for a while straight ahead
34:26 and then you can see the famous #Elbphilharmonie, the landmark of HafenCity, in the distance.
35:06 We turn left onto a footpath “Am Alsterfleet”.
40:34 A beautiful walk along the promenade that leads us directly back to the city center.
43:10 We reach the Karl-Lagerfeld-Promenade
46:25 Then turn right over the Adolphsbrücke and left into the street “Alter Wall”.
48:38 Don’t be afraid of the huge lions that guard the entrance area of the backyard of the town hall.
49:27 In the magnificent backyard of the town hall is the Hygieia fountain,
