I was told Poland is DANGEROUS for Russians

As a Russian, I’ve always been told that many countries in Central & Eastern Europe don’t like us – even around family gatherings I would often hear how Poland hates Russia. And since I left Russia after the start of the Ukraine war, Russian propaganda has been working overtime to tell Russians that Poland is NOT SAFE to visit. But is it true? I recently visited Poland and my experience has been quite different – it’s actually way more welcoming than I expected. Join me in this Warsaw VLOG and let’s talk about why you shouldn’t believe clickbait and propaganda, and why Russia wants Russians to believe that everyone hates them.

  1. Yes, phschopats and their puppets called politicians they make propaganda for us to hate each other and fight for they wealth.

Yes, from east robbers, we are now under western robbery. It is true

  2. The biggest thing with Poles is that you will be judged for what you are like and how you behave, and not who you are nationality or profession wise.
Of course exceptions exist but in general, that is the rule.

  3. Listen, no normal person would think „oh he’s Russian, I don’t want him here”. We have a long history together, our nations I mean, but that doesn’t mean we hate every each Russian. It’s really complicated. I can even take a risk saying that in my opinion Ukrainians are more hated by most of people nowadays, but even so the same rule applies here, most of us Poles leave their opinion to themselves and won’t approach a Russian/Ukrainian on the street saying „we don’t want your kind here” lol

  5. Funnily enough (actually, it's sad) there is a greater chance of getting punched in the face for being Ukrainian and not Russian.
Most of the people who are willing to attack anyone, (this is the fringe of society) are supporters of the extreme right, who, strangely enough, are very susceptible to Russian propaganda. For that matter, they feel more hatred for Ukrainians than for Russians. Another thing is that they deal with Ukrainians on a daily basis, there are not many Russians in Poland and those who are, do not flash their origin.

Cool that you are in Poland, good stay 🙂

  6. Why would anyone hate you, or anyone else, as a person? Sure, if you go to some place where Russians are killing people and start speaking Russian, I guess you'd have a hostile reaction, but all across Europe, you are perfectly safe from people living there.
If you start behaving weirdly, or you say things that may look as propaganda or apologetic, then you could face backlash, but because of what you say and do, not because of what you are.

  7. Totally right that the people of any country are not the government of that country. As an American I can guarantee you most of us are just as disgusted with our government as everyone else. A certain percentage of any population will fall for government propaganda.

  8. The one thing i've seen being common in Poland is that even when people don't like you they won't show it in public – you will be greeted and served like anybody else, but they might talk behind your back. Which is good that there is no open hostility, but still many people behind doors are pretty vile.

  9. Part of it is propaganda perhaps. Idk. I never thought all Muslims were terrorists and i didnt have to travel. Well maybe i thought everyone in the Middle East hates Americans… there is a lot of hate out there, you can see it online. I would think ppl would hate a country that invaded…. but it is true that people are people everywhere. To me that is just common sense. When russia invaded i never thought all russians are bad etc… a lot are devoured by propaganda but. The government does a good job of that… the people could change if given a chance

  10. 90 % of Poles do not distinguish between Russian and Ukrainian, hearing either of them they think a Ukrainian has come to work

  11. Honestly, if you come to Poland to work and you will respect our culture, we won't have a problem, no matter where you come from.

Like you said, we know the difference between hating the government and hating the people

  12. I have long wondered why when Russians report on Warsaw, even the favorable ones. They always show the old city and relics from the communist era. When Warsaw is a truly modern city, at the forefront of Europe in terms of the number of skyscrapers and modern housing estates. And if you behave normally, nothing threatens you, regardless of where you come from 😉

Co jesze bardziej głupie , odebrał też sobie samemu całkiem niezłą pozycję polityczną , żeby stanąć w szeregu z patusem stalinem i naćpanym kapralem z Linzu .

  14. Welp my grandma was raped and grandfather killed and burned to death in their home by Russians during WW2. I understand that new young generation of intelligent Russians is completely different and not responsible for what happened over 60 years ago however max i can do is to tolerate you Russians…nothing more.

  15. Yes, you hear a lot of Russian in Poland from Ukrainians and BelarusianS, because the poor people are so supressed by Poles to speak their own language.

  16. As a Polish person, i'm sure that if not for politics and the war, we'd probably be good friends. Similar culture, language, values. And btw, a lot of people, especially "boomers" speak quite fluent russian and don't actually hate russians.
