TRIP REPORT | Ryanair’s Longest Flight! | Warsaw to Tenerife | RYANAIR Boeing 737

Ryanair Trip Report flying from Warsaw-Modlin to Tenerife South on a beautiful and very cold and icy spring morning.

An amazing flight onboard one of Ryanair’s Boeing 737 (operated by BUZZ) from Warsaw-Modlin. This is Ryanair’s longest route in its network. With a flight time around 6h30min and a total trip time of 7h this flight is longer than many crossings of the Atlantic. A real long-haul within Europe. Also, on this flight we had for the first time the new Ryanair boarding song and, as a personal edit, I added a very special landing song in Tenerife. I hope it will bring you a smile when listening to it 😉

It was a really cold night in Modlin, with temperatures that reached -5°C. Thi mixed with some rain in the early night made that all the planes were covered with ice and snow. We did a full deicing of the plane before departure. I’m pretty sure you haven’t seen something like this.

We took off from Warsaw-Modlin towards the west and quickly turned left to start our route to the Canary Islands. We crossed Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. From there, we entered Croatia, enjoying some amazing views of its coastline. We continued towards Italy (mainland and Cerdeña later on). We crossed the Mediterranean and entered Algiers. From there, Morocco and, finally, the Atlantic and the Canaries. We landed in Tenerife South after a beautiful approach.

Now it’s your turn!
Have you ever flown with Ryanair? How was the experience? Have you ever been to Tenerife? Maybe in Warsaw? What do you think about the Ryanair experience? Have you ever seen a deicing?
Lots of things to talk about! Read you all in the comments!

  1. Wow, an amazing video! One of the best you have ever done in my view! It is a shame it started to rain at Tenerife, why did they not put the airbridge in? Also, at Warsaw Modlin Airport I noticed an Enter Air on stand. What type of airline is it and where do they fly? Also, at Tenerife Airport, was that Easyjet flying to Gatwick, Luton, Stansted or Southend?

  2. Very interesting to see no 7378-MAX aircraft in the Modlin morning line up. I flew from there on one of the first flights of the day back in Feb, and all 4 Ryanair/Buzz aircraft were MAX series.

  3. Interesting to see Modlin airport. Personally, I prefer Chopin as it's much closer to the city and from what I remember, on public transport or taxis aren't expensive.

  6. Very interesting.
When I flew from Venice to Gran Canaria last November (also quite a long flight, around 5 hours I believe), we went around Africa, through Gibraltar basically, but is seems like you went in a straight line across it?

  7. Great video once again! I especially liked the info about the deicing process.
Also, I feel like these flights from Central/Eastern Europe to the Canary Islands are underrated in that people don’t appreciate how “long” they are. They’re just as long as a transcon US flight! Also, it’s pretty interesting how the flight path was straight south to Croatia, and then across Italy & Northern Africa instead of diagonally over Central Europe, Italy, France, and the Peninsula.

  8. De icing procedures are some of my favourite to do during cold weather ops, a step away from the ordinary! I flew into Poland a few times during severely snowy weather over the last few years and it was quite an experience. Landing on a runway which was code 3 or 2… maximum braking max reverse, everything the jet got.
