Day 3 Of Riding Around The World – Luxembourg, Germany and France
This is day three of riding around the world. We woke up in Clairvau, Luxembourg, and walked up to the castle, once the sight of fierce fighting during the Battle of the Bulge. In December 1944, American forces made a stand here under a tensive German attack, holding out for days before the town eventually was overrun. From there, we rode to Viden Castle, and honestly, it looked like something out of a fairy tale, towering above the river with layers of stone in history. It’s easily one of the most stunning castles in Europe. Then we crossed into Germany and hit the kind of roads we dream about. Tight corners, perfect tarmac and forest all around. We grabbed lunch at a supermarket and spent the rest of the afternoon dancing across the border in and out of Luxembourg and Germany. As the sun dropped, we reached France and explored a section of the Majio line, France’s massive World War II defense system built to hold back a German invasion. We ended the day near Strasburg, takeaway in hand, editing videos in our room. Tomorrow we ride into the Black Forest.
