One Day in Nantes – Welcome to the Atlantic France
Is it a unicorn on a horse with the ice [Music] cream? Hello, internet. Welcome to Lex Universe. Long time no see. Well, for you not that much because you have seen me last week. Unless you’re not subscribed, in which case please do. It will make me really happy. But right now I’m at Prague International Airport and I’m flying to Nons. And I’m really hope and I really hope that I’m pronouncing it correctly because it’s French and I’m pretty sure that in French it’s pronounced non. Uh, pardon my French. Anyway, it’s time to catch my plane. Let’s go. [Music] [Music] as you can see from the large letters behind me. We are in NS. We’ve arrived. It was probably one of my first one of my first landings because it’s super windy. You can hear it because you cannot hear me. Let’s go. So there is a bus going to the center every 20 minutes and uh it’s the number 38 normally is uh normally costs uh one normally costs €180 but it seems that public transportation is free on on the weekends. So I guess we are going for free which is very suspicious but I guess why not. [Music] [Music] [Music] And we see the first stage of the sprint of the bustics. Who’s going to win? [Music] Hey, hey, hey. All [Music] right, I forgot to mention it’s December, so there are Christmas markets. And how did you like the cathedral? It’s pretty impressive and really tall. It was quite difficult to take a picture of it, but I think I managed somehow. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] This is the castle of the Dukes of Britany. And I kind of feel some nostein vibe. Looks really beautiful. [Music] [Music] [Music] This is really weird. Like seriously creepy. Is it a unicorn or a horse with the ice cream? [Music] [Music] [Music] And we are at the Noun’s Cathedral, but seems to be closed and under reconstruction because apparently there was a fire in 2020, which I know nothing about, but the French people seem to like burning cathedrals. So, let’s see what’s the status now. Well, I have to tell you the weather is quite odd because when I’m wearing my jacket, I like sweating and it’s not really pleasant. But when I take it off, it’s cold. So, I honestly have no idea what to do. I guess I will just we’ll just try not to suffer. But yeah, what I really what I really enjoy about this is almost no people because nobody seems to be traveling here in winter. Wonder why [Music] [Music] Well, we seem to have random randomly found um botonical garden I think. Oh, it says the plant. So, plant garden. But I think for all in purposes, this is called this is a botanical garden and it looks really cool. Okay, this is deeply troubling on so many levels. The regions of Brittany and Normandia have always had a strange pull towards me. Housing one of the most spectacular landmark in Europe, the Mont Saint-Michel i just couldn’t resist anymore. And while it was the main destination, let’s explore the largest city in the region that will be our main gateway – Nantes.
We will stroll the old cobblestone streets, enjoy magnificent cathedrals and churches, visit the stunning Palace of the Dukes of Brittany and a lot more.
And because we are coming during a strong winter storm, you won’t hear anything but strong wind 😀
