  1. I wonder also, would you come here to Chile? We do have a lot of luxury resorts through the country… some also very unique! For example Casa Molle, an all inclusive and luxury oasis resort in Valle del elqui (one of the best places on earth to watch the stars), could also recommend Tierra Atacama, Tierra Patagonia or Tierra Chiloe, could also check out Nayara Atacama, love the design of that one, could also check out Explora Patagonia, Explora Rapa Nui located in easter island or you can also check out one of the few if not the only andbeyond hotel in South America, andbeyond Vira Vira which is also a very good one. Every single resort I named is luxury btw… can also check out the first and only mandarin oriental in South America, Mandarin Oriental Santiago and also the only ritz Carlton in South America, Ritz Carlton Santiago… Chile has everything in terms of landscape, from the driest desert on earth, to the wonderful glaciers in the Patagonia and south of Chile 🙂

  2. Fun to watch the plane's shadow flying beside you! 😊 Seeing all the boats anchored on the water is always an enjoyable experience!! No nerves, here. One would think you'd have grown used to it by now, dear LTE!! I usually pass the time reading … Happy trails!

  4. I've loved flying since I was a kid, back in the 70s. For me, the flight itself (and the view outside the window) has been and, all these many decades later, continues to be my fav part of any trip. But I'm curious, Doc. With all the flying that you have done, have you become any less of a "nervous flyer" over the years?

P.S. Flying to St. Barts and experiencing that landing is most definitely on my bucket list. Not sure if it was on yours…ha ha. 😉 Looking forward to your vid, next week. 🙂

  5. I'm happy to have no fear of flying over water, next time tomorrow on a business trip from FRA to MIA in Condors new business class.

  6. Hey Traveler, Yes, Maho Beach is notorious. With the lengths people will go to to get as close to the underside of aircraft coming in for landing.
People usually get "Blown" off their footing standing against the fence line there at the head of the runway. There have been injuries in the past.

There are Three (Webcams) at St. Martin. (1) at the Airport, so you can plane spot, (2) at the Port, and (3) up on the mountain looking down and around.
The "Very Cool" landing is of the KLM 747 that usually serves the island.

When the Grand Pilgrimage takes place to St., Barths, the Caravan of Private Jets that use St. Martin as a hopping off point, in order to take smaller transfers over to the island. (read: Helicopters)
Usually during the Holiday's and Especially at New Years Celebrations over there.

Aww, no sneak peek at who is traveling with you !!! I will have to see if you brought the Executive Assistant Team on this trip next week !!! he he he he

  7. As per usual, magnificent ! However, I do see an added bonus coming back to the channel for this Caribbean adventure – the lovely and incomparable Mrs LTE ? Am I correct ??

  8. Noooo!!! F-GZCN was the exact same plane I flew onboard it way back in August 2010 from CDG-DXB, it was wearing the old livery and had the old cabin at that time. I even saw “Laval” landing in Beirut Lebanon recently on 19 April 2025, when I was about to board my MEA A330 to Dubai. Memories, with this plane thanks for sharing this video.

  9. Wow, this video is really well done! I love how you captured the details of the Air France Business Class experience. Personally, though, I feel like the seating on the A330 isn’t as spacious as some other airlines offer. It makes me wonder if comfort is being sacrificed for style these days. What do you all think?

  10. A very, very long time ago I flew to St.Martin (but naturally the airport is on the Dutch side) and enjoyed my stay. Loved the French cuisine and to this day one of my best meals was a simple roast chicken on rice with a fresh baguette and butter. Your AIR FRANCE meals looked superb! Envious but glad you traveled Air France. If or when I go back I need to travel the right way. Landing at that airport on the island always gave me the creeps. Too close to too many people on the beach.

  11. wow, this video is really well done! the quality is amazing and it gives a great insight into the Air France experience. however, I personally think the whole business class hype is a bit overrated. I mean, sure, the seats look comfy, but can they justify the huge price difference compared to premium economy? just wondering if others feel the same.

  12. The only thing worth is the comfort of a better seat and more space, all the rest is a high priced scam not worth the price.

  13. It seems like the landing POV was filmed by a different person?
Great product by AirFrance but the leg space seems tight and forces you to sleep upright.

  14. Tres bon video. I'm not so keen on 2-2-2 configurations, although it's only the window seats that are problematical (maybe aisle next to window too). Flying over water (makes no difference to me), I'd pick an centre aisle seat. The foot rest area seemed a bit pokey. Food looked good except main was a bit messy. Impressive landing views.

  15. What a terrible window row set up, imagine paying premium prices to climb over someone every time you need to use the bathroom and vice versa!

  16. what a fantastic video! i really enjoyed the detailed insights and stunning visuals. however, i have to say, while Air France is well-known for its service, i personally think Etihad offers a better overall experience in business class. anyone else feel the same way?
