Did you know that you can enjoy cherry blossoms in February in Japan. They are called Kawazu Cherry Blossoms. Normally, the peak bloom period is from mid to late February. However, due to a recent cold wave, the blossoms are extremely delayed this year.

Where I live on Vancouver Island Canada, the Cherry Blossoms bloom about 2 to 3 weeks earlier then the mainland of British Columbia.
All in all, a nice little trip! But no curry beef!!
Why can't you explain why the pork was so bad? Was it hard? Smelled bad? Old meat?

Another wonderful visit STJ. That is the first time I have ever seen food that wasn't of high quality. Better to go to a bakery then and get food or convenience store, who's food seems exceptional. ❤
Its the 3rd March. In England there isn't ANY Cherry blossom in bloom, & the rapeseed plants are only 6" (15cm) high

Between the different climates of Japan and the different varieties of flowering cherry, one could probably spend several months a year looking at them. I don’t know how common the autumn-flowering ones are, or whether they’re planted in large numbers anywhere, but they would add another season.
Perhaps it was fated that your 2nd selection would be a mistake. If you had bought only one, you would not have been disappointed with it. Imagine if you had just gone for the pork, ewwww.
Gorgeous view of the ocean, shame about the light bloom on the trees. Thats nature for you, I suppose. Doing what it wants with little regard for us.
I went to Atami and Jukkoku Toge on the same day as this with my family. The sakura in Atami were beautiful. 🌸
