France’s Loire Valley: Brilliant Blois – town and cuisine

bonjour check out our French welcome [Music] committee welcome to the Lua Valley always wanted to come here bl is about 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours by car from Pari [Music] and here we are come on in we did kind of luck out with our accommodation well we planned it so wasn’t really luck whatever it is it was good it was ideal for exploring yeah the Lua River is the longest river in all of France flood marker look very glad that it didn’t flood whilst we were here now what do we know about Blah you’ve got the keyboard there so Google away close to 50,000 people live here permanently it has a lot of French royal history also read from a few sources that it was settled by the Romans and Blah has a lot of awesome vantage points for example the architecture in town was amazing too a real mixture of Gothic Renaissance and classical what was the second one again renaissance yeah definitely does not suck gorgeous so much old money down there for a fan of architecture blah kept on delivering and for fans of fun words to say blah blah blah kind of fun this was definitely the most grand building in town so how do you feel about blah i thought it was very sophisticated very clean very calm very very livable very impressive look they’re inspired they’re all drawing there’s more of them drawing there too i’m inspired i want to draw as well now well you could always draw that staircase I guess sure why not the staircase was pretty amazing voila for sure so we spent two nights here and really threw ourselves into the food scene and it was a really good food scene to throw yourself into what you got what you got yes awesome which is uh Oh looks good mhm nice and bouncy wouncy yes and uh all I hear is rustling of paper okay yummy hello Lraine good morning Lraine and have to do it right okay let’s do that give it to me now oh okay let me explain it mhm using the best descriptive language I can mhm amazing but seriously it’s crusty on the It’s crusty on the outside and really smooth inside like this voice over work mhm mhm are you ready i’m very ready ready for dinner in Ba but it will not be crappy how good does it smell smells amazing the salad comes in the strainer that’s random okay that looks good good surprisingly good okay cool can you try the actual crap can you remove the strainer the strainer no oh yeah garlicky is it mhm i’ll just try this side we Oh that’s bright best cake of the trip so far mhm yes this right here is our favorite place in Blah everything we tried from them was of a high standard and this is what we bought m croissants penal and they called that a Swiss someone’s been to the bonerie again r it’s dessert time and um this is a traditional boa dessert ah hello lovely bonjour bonjour indeed oh look at that what’s that it’s edible was really good okay so getting back to the birds that welcomed us to town uh more information please when a large flock of birds circle it’s called a murmmoration oh yeah they’re riding warm air currents and apparently it saves them energy and they get to fly faster it’s basically like hopping on a moving escalator so for anybody who watched this video wanting to learn about blah you did and you got bonus bird knowledge as well you’re welcome [Music] i’d come back here for sure [Music] [Music] and uh we’ll have another video up soon won’t we we will

In the heart of central France on the banks of the Loire River is Blois. This gorgeous wealthy town has picturesque streets and many gothic and renaissance buildings. We threw ourselves at exploring this brilliant French gem and its food scene with great success. ❤️🇫🇷

  1. A beautiful place. I went on a bus tour from Paris to The Loire, many years ago. It was lovely though I don'r recall whether we actually went by or over the river itself. I did see three chateaux which was nice. If you have not been to Chenonceau you need to. The interior is arguably 'just another castle' but the exterior is dazzling!
