Athens Combo Ticket UPDATE! 2025 New Rules #greecetravel

there’s a big update if you’re planning on visiting Athens archaeological sites in 2025 so we used to recommend the €30 combo ticket that got you into seven archaeological sites but uh RIP the combo ticket is no more so here’s what you need to do to plan your day so you don’t overpay or miss out now each major site in Athens requires a separate timed entry ticket no more single pass each place needs its own reservation if you only have one day in Athens here’s what we recommend book a morning slot for the Acropolis and an afternoon slot for the Ancient Agora the Acropolis is the one that’s most likely to sell out so lock that in first you’re going to want time to walk up the slopes and climb to the Parthonon before the midday crowds after lunch head to the ancient Agora it’s got amazing ruins and a full museum all included in that one ticket as for the other sites if you’re short on time or budget many of them you can admire from the street watch our full Athens in 24 hours guide for more travel tips

Make sure you’re aware of the new system!
AND if you have more than a day in Athens, we highly suggest visiting the Acropolis Museum *before* you go up the slopes. It’s an awesome city, so more time is definitely worth it. Check out our long-form Guide to Athens in 24hrs to make the most of your time in Greece 🙂
