The Großer Alpsee is the largest natural lake in the Allgäu region of Bavaria, located near Immenstadt. Covering about 2.5 km² and with a maximum depth of nearly 23 meters, it’s a popular destination for swimming, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddling.
• Along the lakefront in Bühl am Alpsee, you’ll find cozy cafés, restaurants, and peaceful spots to relax with views of the Allgäu Alps.
• A unique attraction is the “Santa Maria Loreto”, a historic sailboat that offers lake cruises during the summer.

🏙️ Immenstadt Town Center – Charm and History

The historic town center of Immenstadt is just a short walk from the lake. As the oldest town in the Oberallgäu district, it features:
• A medieval town square (Marienplatz) with fountains, small shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors.
• The Immenstadt Castle (Schloss), lovingly restored and often used for exhibitions or events.

Immenstadt is also a hub for hiking, cycling, and cultural events. Local festivals, markets, and open-air concerts regularly bring life to the streets.
